Scoffs — Restaurant in Coventry

Popped in for a quick breakfast first time visiting. The staff wasn't friendly but not unfriendly. It seems a bit of a confused way to order as it wasn't clear that we had to pay till after. The lady kinda took our order from the counter and then walked off. A gentleman had just finished eating so we sat in the spot next to him. No one came to clean the area. We the food arrived it looked good, however, the cutlery given was absolutely filthy. Asked for a new set and the fork was dirty a second time, so a request was made to clean the cutlery. Not keen on the sausages (went for a full english) but to be honest after receiving dirty cutlery twice, it put me off my food and I barely ate it. Had a couple of mouthfuls, ate the toast and left....

Late morning on a Friday - possibly one of Scoffs busiest times, i rang to enquire whether there were any ready made scones available for delivery ASAP. I needed 5 and although they only had a couple made up, they readily offered to make up my request and deliver them in approx 30 mins. These people are just so lovely and accommodating, and Wow! those scones went down a treat with us and our visitors, lashings of cream and jam, on the tastiest scones, which were huge! - highly recommend . Was working locally and found this place via Google maps. Really varied menu, some different things to your usual sandwich shop. On the three occasions I went I had pork and stuffing sandwich and a steak sandwich. Wished I'd tried their griddle meals so I'll be back next time I'm in the area. Parking is a little scarce outside. Have to be careful for the resident...
