The Vale is a friendly public house in the Mount Nod area of Coventry. You can get nice eats and drinks there. The car park area is large and spacious and it is free. Some seventy years ago the Mount Nod estate, with all of the houses, bungalows and blocks of flats was non-existent. It was Mount Nod farm, which was beautiful hilly farmland leading down into a valley with a stream that connects to the River Sherbourne running through Coventry. There's an interesting old map of the area tucked behind a large clock on the wall inside The Vale. It's a nice pub, which is well worth a visit. And I liked the way that they asked you if you were ready for your next course.
