I wish I didn’t have to put any stars on this as it’s disgusting place to visit with kids. This was the first time ever to visit as I wanted to take my mother out on Mother’s Day with my kids. We got there they seems really rude, they told us that we can’t sit in the wacky warehouse to eat but I sent them an email and apparently you can eat it on the weekday not the weekend which don’t make any sense to me as there’s a lot of places you can eat and play at the same time. So I tried to email them about my kids sitting on the high table and chairs but apparently a 4 year old and a 2 year old can sit on them sits with no secure at all so they could fall off and bang their heads or break bones if they fell off but that’s ok in their eyes. I have to go to the manager to talk even though there was people standing around watching us all seeing that my 2 young children/toddler were sitting down. Some lady at the bar stated that there was no other spaces which is disgusting because everyone was coming in and were sitting on normal tables. I wish to god that my phone was on that time because I would of got photos and shown you what was going on. I asked for a refund but I got told on the email that I’m not allowed it as we are the food yet it was the kids that ate it and I ate the rest as I didn’t want it to go to waste as there are starving children out in this world why would I want to waste food? I will be suing this pub and will be taking it further as the way me and my family were treated today was ridiculous. Also to state as well that soft drinks on Mother’s Day were meant to be free with a meal but that was also wrong as well as I didn’t get offered that either as I am pregnant and...
Read moreThis was our only visit here, so can't say that it is always like this. Having said that I have family in the area who have been previously. But, poor show Unicorn, 1* marked up for the soft play for our 7 year old. As for the catering, shame on you. If you are vying for business for a Sunday lunch time trade then offer somewhere near a full menu and then what you do serve up, make it the best that it can be. You couldn't cook certain things because an oven wasn't working - sometimes these things happen. As the token veggie at our table this restricted my choice coupled with the fact that you had no salad?? Although, 'there is a bit of salad left that you could have' didn't tempt me. The enchiladas that I ordered were bland. I ate it all because I was hungry and had a 6 hour drive ahead of me. The person who ordered the roast dinner asked for it to be given some heat, had trouble cutting the beef and left most of it. The server was polite but she lacked any empathy which I would only be guessing might come down to having already apologised for the failngs of others too often. This is where the footnote says that my feedback is very important, sorry didn't meet usual standards, comments passed on to team etc etc. P.s. my daughter loved the name of course, something you should be more...
Read moreIt’s a pretty average pub. Nothing special. It was quiet so we were able to find a table away from people which was nice. The table was very sticky and I had to really put some effort into moving the menu holder as it was stuck to the table. They drink I wanted was out of stock but I was suggested a similar drink which was nice. My mum ordered the half chicken sizzler which came without the peppers and onions but we didn’t mind enough to complain. She said that the chicken was very dry and tough and that the coleslaw tasted weird. I ordered the southern fried chicken skewers which again came without the sizzling onions but again I didn’t mind enough to get up and complain. My chicken was ok but again a little dry. The fries were nice.
I would like to point out that no one came to check if our food was ok after delivering the food to the table so if we had wanted to mention the missing onions or the dry chicken we would have had to go up to the bar.
All in all, a pretty average pub, nothing special. We are glad we got the meals on the Tuesday deal and didn’t pay full price for them as they would not have...
