Cafe Santa Maria — Restaurant in Crawley

I had a cheeseburger and chips here with a friend and the burger was fine but the chips were disgusting they were not edible enough to eat as you can taste it's either been swimming in oil or the oil wasn't cleaned or they recooked it but definitely tastes of oil and this was so disgusting neither of us could eat it and it had to be wasted as I could get food poisoning from.the way it's cooked please don't make your chips like this as I actually like this cafe the food is usually very good but the fact of one simple food hygiene issue with the way the chips are cooked has put me off. I hope you read this as I am trying to prevent you getting further complaints and a visit off environmental health for food hygiene...

It was early in the morning and it was the only place open so I decided to get a baguette and hot chocolate. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the miserable atmosphere and it did not look much like a cafe. Behind the till was alcohol, lollipops, toys and stuff you would not see in a cafe. The bread was soft and tasted out of date and the hot chocolate was not stirred at all. It was basically like hot water with a sprinkle of chocolate. It’s safe to say that I will never be going...

I HIGHLY recommend the Prego. This is a meal in a traditional bun like bread. My favourite is the beef. Its a seriously tender fried steak. Cooked to perfection every time. Also served in the burger bun is a fried egg, slice of cheese, salad and a slice of ham. You can also choose Chicken or Pork as your main meat. But for me, it's beef steak every time.
