Came here with a few friends for Sunday lunch yesterday. The service was outstanding from start to finish. In terms of COVID, everything from the walk into the restaurant was very clear and easy to understand. There was a one way system around the restaurant (one entrance/one exit), hand sanitiser and screens between tables. Staff were seen to be hand sanitising regularly as well. The team were very polite and friendly and put us at our ease. Ordering was very straightforward. The food took a while to come out, but the restaurant was at pretty much full capacity so this was to be expected - plus the service of drinks, etc was quick whilst we were waiting. The food itself was fantastic - far better than you would expect from a ‘gastropub’. Portions were huge, and everything was incredibly tasty. Side dishes of veg and cauliflower cheese were included as well. The bread and butter pudding was quite small, but tasty; after a large lunch this was actually a good size. Possibly a little overpriced at around £6 though? However, the biscoff slice was exceptional (and a far larger portion) for roughly the same cost. Definitely one to try! Overall, for a cost of £23 per person (with a couple of drinks each) we were very, very happy. We will definitely be back! Thanks for an amazing lunch 😁

I visited on the 7th of April at 12pm for lunch with my wife and 2 year old child. We ordered our food and it took 1hour 30minutes to arrive. At this time I had rejected the food as my family and I had other engagements that we were now late for. I then requested a refund and they didnt offer this back in full, although we had been waiting 1hr 30minutes. I was expecting a full refund as Manor Farm Barn didnt provide a basic level of service. My time was wasted, I was late to a gathering I had planned with family for Easter, my 2 year old was extremely unsettled and 38 week pregnant wife was also left waiting after sitting there for an hour and a half. I then emailed customer services on the 8th April about my experience. The general manager of manor farm barn, Richard Wilkinson, responded on the 11th April requesting I return to the restaurant where i would recieve my drinks refund and offered a £20 voucher. I appreciated this but I chose not to return as my previous experience was completely unacceptable and I was still not being offered a full refund. I provided my reciept to Richard on the 12th April and requested I would like a refund in full only. Attached is my reciept Its now the 29th April and I havn't recieved a response back from him. This isn't a surprise as this is the 2nd occasion within a month that I have experienced a poor level of basic customer service from both in-house staff and the general manager. I will not be returning to this establishment as they have shown consistency in their lack of care, poor communication to complaints, and they take customers money when they do not provide a basic level of service

Never eaten here before even though it’s fairly local to me. I was pleasantly surprised though! It was a delicious return to eating out and I’m very glad it was my first choice for eating out once again. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was exquisite. I was slightly disappointed when it came to desserts, as the only vegetarian/vegan dessert (Lotus Biscoff slice) was unavailable, so I couldn’t have anything but ice cream. However, the staff were very helpful and friendly when it came to finding out what else I could have. When it comes to safety measures for COVID, I was impressed with the amount of effort they have gone through to make their customers feel comfortable and safe. There were screens in between any close-together tables, disposable menus and you would have to take your own drinks and cutlery off of the waiters tray. As a restaurant worker myself, I was really happy to see these measures to protect both customers and staff. I would definitely return and recommend to others.
