Another fantastic evening of food—this time for Spanish night. The menu delivered once again: we ordered the Frito Misto, garlic mushrooms, and beef brisket bites, finishing with churros for dessert.

The standout dish was without question the garlic mushrooms—perfectly cooked and packed with flavour—closely followed by the tender, well-seasoned brisket.

As well as being a bar, The Ship Inn is a nice place to stop by for lunch. You can have everything from a sandwich to a full Roast dinner. I had a full roast dinner today. The Ship is a really nice family Bar. Welcoming all ages. The service is really good. All the staff are really nice and friendly and happy to help. Also with free unlimited wifi it's just the restaurant for teenagers. Order all food at he Bar and don't forget to look at the the specials board! The actual food is delicious. I have been here on 2 occasions and the food has been spectacular. Drinks are really nice. Has a range of different alcoholic beverages. And a good venue for celebration meals eg. Christenings. As it has a nice conservatory dining area. Also has a pub garden with with a big huge marquee for parties etc... Parking area which can get packed very quickly as some days it can be very crowded in evenings but has loads of places to park in he village elsewhere. Overall a really nice family pub/restaurant and really, thorough...

A cosy gem in the heart of the community, the Ship Inn is the perfect spot for a relaxed evening out.

Last night,we had the pleasure of enjoying their homemade Scotch egg which was an absolute standout – beautifully seasoned, with the perfect balance of crispy coating and tender sausage meat. Paired with a tangy homemade tomato dip, it was the ultimate comfort food, elevated by the pub’s warm, welcoming atmosphere.

To top it off, the homemade crème brûlée was a true indulgence. The creamy custard beneath the crisp, caramelised sugar shell was a perfect end to the meal, and you could tell it was made with care.

The Ship Inn offers a fantastic blend of hearty pub classics and thoughtful touches that make every visit feel special.
