For the first time EVER, I visited The Hufflers Arms last week. The pub has recently made the transition from a regular "boozer" to one that is safe and welcoming to all from the LGBTQ Community. I am currently in training to become a DJ and so accompanied my friend and mentor to the gig. We arrived, was greeted by flags and a rainbow on the front door - and what I found really touching was the positive and liberating signage inside instructing visitors to "be who they were". The staff were incredibly friendly and together we all had a wonderful night of music and smashing the mic on the karaoke. We are booked to return for another gig soon and I personally cannot wait to go and see everyone again. Will hopefully bring a few more people with me too that I know with love and appreciate this fabulous establishment... it's going to be massive! 🎶🏳️🌈💖🏳️🌈🎶 LG / Future...

Arriving by train, turn right out of the exit of the station, and walk along the edge of the car park nearest the railway line, and there is a set of steps leading down to the road. Turn right and walk underneath the railway line to a roundabout and cross the road to the left side. You will see the pub ahead of you.
There was no draught bitter when I got there, and so I had a bottle of Old Speckled Hen.

Read morePeople forget that this is also a residential area. The noise that they are bringing and lack of parking space for loved ones to park is becoming annoying tbh. The last person who owned this pub had noise abatement servings!!! Let’s not go down this route again! They claim they are acting within their licences but our properties are being flooded with pounding music early into the day u too late hours at night and people who drink are clearly seen going into their cars and loitering around long after closing hours screaming in the street...
