Cafe Express — Restaurant in Doncaster

I have placed many orders from here. Every order has had at least one sandwich or meal made incorrectly. The quality of the ingredients used is extremely poor. The presentation of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Who puts large stuffing balls on a sandwich? Why are the portion sizes so inconsistent? and why can't the staff tell the difference between basic gravy and the bisto gravy that you pay extra for? Why can't they write on a paper bag what is inside the containers or silver foil so the customer doesn't have to guess what is in it? Why do they not know the difference between a bread roll, a baguette and a panin? Above all why can't the staff be honest and polite to customers and let them know if items have been substituted in their order? There are much friendlier and nicer cafes to use in the area. Who use good quality ingredients and provide a menu with plenty of choice. I would recommend you give this...

Prices are ridiculous..and definitely not value for money. I normal buy for a breakfast wrap for around £3.80 which includes bacon egg sausage hashbown cheese and Tom's , to pay £6.05 for their wrap is ridiculous and it's not even that nice compared to other cafe. (Rubber eggs )

They are over priced they charge you extra on cooked dinner its ridiculous u would expect it to be a cooked dinner not having to adding onto the price to add ya veg and meat gravy .what a rip off . If your offering a cooked dinner for example from £5 .25 then you'd expect the dinner with all the trimmings on it not to be paying more when it should come as standard .

They use cheap nasty beans and want you to pay over the odds for their food . Wouldn't mind paying the extra money if it was worth it but I'd rather spend £10 on a pub carvery dinner than pay...

I never ever ever leave reviews but I’m absolutely appalled by this place!

Absolutely shocking service!!! Ordered food for delivery and 2 hours 20 mins later STILL no food! Called them to be told every time the driver was on his way?? What’s he doing walking down A19 on his elbows?

Honestly don’t mind waiting if I’m told there’s a longer than usual delivery time but just don’t lie? When the food did eventually arrive, it was freezing and all dried up! Not exaggerating it WAS NOT Edible!

I asked the delivery driver why it had taken him over 2 hours to get to me as the shop had said he’d been on his way for 1hr 20mina?

The driver assured me he was only handed my order 20 mins ago!!! 🤬

Why lie?

Not got the best reputation anyway this place but when you’re desperate you’ll give them the benefit of the doubt!...
