Original Review: I don't get to visit as often as I'd like, but when I do I can always find a beer 🍻 or cocktail 🍹 that will tantalise my taste buds and satisfy my alcoholic yearning! A small quaintly set out bar, with happy knowledgeable staff. Tasters available on beer if you are struggling to choose, which adds to the experience. The first time I visited The Local, it become my favourite place to go each week. A great selection of beers, including IPA’s, Sour beers, Stouts etc. The pumps are changed every week, so it’s brilliant to be able to go in the following week and try new beers each time. The food has always been amazing, but the New Mexican 🇲🇽 themed menu that has been introduced is out of this world. A great selection for such a small kitchen, I can’t wait to work my way through the menu. So you’ve got great beer, great food, and to top it off, you’ve got the staff who make you feel like you’re part of the family....

With a tap selection that is on rotation its a nice surprise to find a new taste each week. The platter boards and honey sausages are lovely. They have regular evening events with karaoke, Greek and Curry nights, live music etc. The Laura and Paul are very knowledgable about any beer related questions you have and are constantly on the search for the next barrel to bring in.
