Warm welcome Really fun filled place. Very quirky. Mismatched china plates and cups which we loved. Quite busy on arrival but we had booked ahead. Regulars were also there which is always a good sign. Very relaxed atmosphere. Nice to have our teapot refilled whenever we asked. Lady who served us checked we were ok but wasnt intrusive. Sandwiches were very fresh and of a good assortment. You have a choice of a slice of cake but then there is also a scone and then 2 smaller slices of cake. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised with our whole experience. Good value, lovely and fresh. We will definitely be returning. Another customer was booking in for Sunday Lunch which sounded very appetising. Parking isnt perfect but thats not the venues fault. We parked a few streets away and then walked further into the centre of the village. It was a nice stroll to walk off our sugar fix.

I've used Mad Hatters a few times for cakes and done a few afternoon teas, even had my baby shower there and I absolutely love the place. I requested a cake for my mom's 70th birthday on 29th August for today, 4th September. I thought it would be short notice but the lovely staff were more than happy to oblige! I picked up the cake, which was ready at the time requested I was blown away by the cake. It was more than I was hoping for! My mom absolutely loved it! The cherries were fresh and they aren't even in season so they really went above and beyond, the buttercream was delicious and the cake was light and fluffy! The staff are lovely and so accommodating! Cannot recommend this place enough

Me and my friend went for afternoon tea today for what you get its not worth the money. There was only a little bit of lettuce and 3 pieces of red onion and I asked for biscoff cake and it didn't taste like biscoff it tasted like victoria sponge which I don't like and the tables and chairs are too close to together it was a squash and there was only 4 small segments of orange that was all the fruit we had looking at the pictures online look different to what you actually get. very disappointed and won't be returning

Friendly staff, good prices, only let down cheap products used .. scones were melt in your mouth but the jam was smart price... Watery and tasteless, spoiling what would have been an amazing experience of scones and clotted cream. Cakes looked lovely but not overly fresh😌 Sandwiches were beautiful.. no complaints there.. Lovely overall experience. I would go again but not for afternoon tea..
