The Cabin — Restaurant in Dudley

We phoned up to see if the cabin was taking bookings for Boxing Day dinner the woman that answer the phone was very grumpy.The food took an hour to come out, it wasn’t that busy. The pie was microwaved to within an inch of its life . The mother in-laws soup halloumi fries and the cheese ciabatta was cold. I told the grumpy bar staff I wanted my money back for the mother in laws meal and explained this is the second time we’ve been disappointed by the service and we’re going to use an alternative pub in the future and the reply from the barman was you do you mate? The manager couldn’t apologise inuf and gave me my refund but here bar staff have a lot to learn about...

I performed at this pub towards the end of last year and I also visited it socially on a karaoke night. I have to say it brought back memories of when my local pub was the place to go. It is a home from home pub. Great owners , prices of drinks were very reasonable and you are made to feel welcome by all the locals that drink in there. If this pub was on my doorstep , and boy do I wish it was , I would be there every weekend socialising with everyone. There is always something on of a weekend whether that is karaoke , a singer , bands or a DJ. Don’t find many pubs like...

One member of staff behind the bar was very rude to me and a group of friends who were sat watching the football. Granted we were a little louder than usual just because we were reacting to the football. She had previously asked us to quiet down, which we had done but from then on she was watching over us constantly. And because we had no drinks with us at the time (we had previously already ordered drinks and intended to buy more) she decided to make that an excuse to ask us to leave as 'its not a youth club'.
