This is by far the worst restaurant ive been to in a while. First we walk in unsure how their system works and was told to find our own seat which we did presuming it was table service as we wernt told otherwise. Staff were rude and have clearly became complacent in their roles which has resulted in their customer service skills being less than satisfactory. When ordering at the bar, the staff were happy speaking regulars but appeared to have no time for new visitors. The restaurant itself looks refurbished however the tables were very sticky and not that clean. The volume in the restaurant is way too high. The music is blearing resulting in everyone having to shout to hear eachother. Food was of poor quality, my sausages were burned and no dish had any seasoning at all. One person in my group has allergies and when questioning the food at the bar the server couldn't care less. The menu says that this particular dish had seasoning so we asked specifically what seasoning and he said don't worry they don't actually season it. When i went up to order desert, 3 members of staff talking while I was waiting to be served and one of the members of staff was openly swearing complaining about other members of staff on that shift... all this before serving me. While waiting for our deserts, we notoced staff standing out the front of the building smoking in full uniform and then going back behind the counter and start serving aswell as one of the chefs coming out and his trousers literally fell down!!! Our food came out within 10 minutes yet it took them over 30 minites to produce 2 ice creams. If you do decide to go, i suggest you check your cuttelery carefully before use as some was dirty when it was sent out to me. All in all, I won't be returning to this restaurant and everyone I know will be told about it's poor quality.

Three of us visited the Meadowlark for late lunch on Saturday 15th of July at 3:30. This ā€˜Sizzling’ branded pub / restaurant is in a purpose-built, relatively modern building on the edge of a residential estate. The premises are open plan and nicely decorated although signs of wear are evident in some places. On our arrival all unoccupied tables had been cleared ready for guests arriving. Cleanliness is good. The menu provides a reasonable choice of food and there is a good selection of hot and cold drinks available at the bar. It is a family pub / restaurant and at the time of our visit there seemed more children than adults, some of whom were being allowed to run riot. We ordered at the bar, rather than through the app, and we were quickly served by a friendly member of staff. Drinks were prepared immediately to carry back to our table, although they were almost knocked from my hand by unruly children. The food was brought to our table within 20 minutes of ordering and was nicely prepared. Food is typical chain pub fayre (frozen chips etc). We ordered sizzling rump steak, double hunter’s chicken and fish & chips. Two of the dishes were good value for money, although the fish & chips were disappointing (thin fish / dry chips). Overall, this is a pretty good family pub / restaurant with efficient, friendly service and reasonable food at a generally fair price. If you don’t mind eating in the middle of a playground I would recommend it. If you want a quiet or romantic meal I would give it a miss. We would probably return but avoid ordering the fish & chips.

Hi Ness, this is something we don’t normally do is complain, on Monday 20th May 2024 we attended your pub which we have been a regular for 20 years but we were very very disappointed as we were refused food bang on 8pm… it’s only occasionally we pop in on a Monday night we did not know that the kitchen shut at 8pm there are no times displayed and normally if the kitchens are going to close earlier a member of staff would normally come over and ask us if we are having food, we also noticed that a regular was refused food too at 7.50pm, we would value your thoughts on this matter? On another note went to the ladies toilets which was disgusting and toilet roll being held up by pink string photo attached. Many thanks

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PUB !!! Went in on the 25th November with 2 of my friends to enjoy some food and catch up. One of said friends had a bottle of pepsi from the shop next door and within 2 seconds of opening and not even having opportunity to take a sip she had the landlady shouting at her from across the bar making hand signals to which she then alerted the owner of the pub and she stated in an aggressive tone ā€œdont think you can come in here and drink stuff in MY pubā€ and laughed and giggled with another member of staff which is extremely unprofessional behaviour. I was stood at the bar as this all happened the owner of the pub was taking my order and was making comments to me about my friend not knowing i was with them so i asked her if there was an issue i needed to speak to my friend and if she wanted us to leave to which she changed her whole complete attitude towards the situation after i said to her ā€œthats the table that im sat atā€. Also, when bringing our order over a member of staff slammed it down onto the table and huffed n puffed n walked off. Not only that but the chips were cold and had next to no cheese on them and were also green. Furthermore, whilst sat talking to my friends there were 2 ladies cleaning a table next to us and one of us glanced over as you do and one of the ladies said ā€œi swear to god if she looks at me like that one more timeā€. Personally to me that sounds like a threat. I just think that there is a huge lack of professionalism within the business and i think that the staff members need to take into account that they are there to work and not sit around and gossip about teenage girls. My friend who was drinking the pepsi has a history of low blood sugar, is prone to passing out and had just finished work so was exhausted and needed a refreshment. If the employee had directly came over to us and politely explained she doesn’t allow outside drinks then we would have understood but what we don’t understand is the vileness of the...
