I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lucas Kitchen, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As a pizza enthusiast, I was eager to try their highly recommended pizzas, and they certainly did not disappoint.
The ambiance of Lucas Kitchen is warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy decor that makes you feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially a waiter called Michael, as he ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he was more than happy to offer suggestions based on our preferences.
I ordered the Margherita pizza, a classic choice that is often a true test of a pizzeria's quality. The moment it arrived at our table, I was captivated by the aroma of fresh basil and the sight of perfectly melted mozzarella. The crust was a perfect blend of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, achieving that ideal balance that is often hard to find. The tomato sauce was rich and flavorful, clearly made from high-quality, fresh ingredients.
What truly set the pizza apart was the attention to detail in every component. The mozzarella was incredibly fresh, adding a creamy texture that complemented the tangy tomato sauce beautifully. The basil was bright and fragrant, adding a burst of freshness to each bite. It was clear that Lucas Kitchen takes pride in using top-notch ingredients and perfecting their recipes.
Beyond the food, the service was top-tier. Our waiter checked in just the right amount. The manager even stopped by to ask how everything was, which added a nice personal touch to the experience.
Overall, my visit to Lucas Kitchen was a delightful culinary journey. The outstanding pizza, combined with the excellent service and inviting atmosphere, made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Lucas Kitchen to anyone looking for delicious pizza and a great time. I'll definitely be returning soon to explore more...
Read moreUpdate: Luca's used to be our go to restaurant and as you will see from the review below we loved it.....but tonight did not go so well!!!! First of all over £14 for two pints and two soft drinks ....£5.20 for a pint of beer !!! My vegan pizza wasn't as tasty and quite soggy. My partner and daughter had fish and chips...£12 each and portions not very big. We sat outside but it got cooler so decided to go inside for our pudding....only to be told there were no seats, we could see empty seats but we were told they were reserved. I reminded them that my daughters pudding was already paid for and we hadn't just walked in looking for a seat but we were basically shrugged at and told we were welcome to stand in ice cream parlour. Unfortunately we have decided that will probably be our last visit to Luca's. Such a shame.
Original review: Fantastic on a sunny day. Beer garden is a dog friendly sun trap. Sat outside eating beautiful dairy free pizza (Thank you chef), enjoying a cider and relaxing with my dog and partner. Staff gave me water for my dog and told me all the menu items that were dairy free. Now the downside..... I'm not keen on new interior. It looks like a cafe. My partner and I used to go for a pint in the winter but now feel that isn't really an option (unless it's warm enough for beer garden). Also they don't have "normal" cider on tap, only dark fruits cider which again is great in the beer garden on a warm day but not in the winter. Think Luca's will be a summer only place which is a shame because the pizza is amazing. Ice cream bar is brilliant and my kids love it. They could do with some dairy free ice cream so I...
Read moreI have never given a negative review and this is the first one I sadly decided to post. I took my kids for a dinner today. We arrived at 5 and were clearly put at the least popular table. Right in the middle of a constant draft despite of the restaurant bring almost empty when we arrived. The service took really long and I had to call for attention a couple of times.i am vegetarian so I was excited yo see superfood salad on the menu. Nothing better than fresh greens, beetroot and goat cheese...my salad arrived looking really tired and I'm sure the pomegranate was from a tin. I proceeded trying to find the goat cheese and then thought maybe I just imagined it being on the menu or it was for an extra cost...the restautant got progressively busier and that's when we got completly lost in the crowd. The only reason I managed to get one of the waitresses attention was becouse my 4 year old was so impatient for ice cream, he nearly tripped her over. Once we finished our desserts, me hoping for a coffee- I eventually gave up waiting and went to pay at the till. I also asked if there should have been goat cheese in my salad...yes there should have. I then asked if I had it in my meal and I said no...I was acknowledged by 'aww'. I never said anything becouse it was a surprise for my kids and I just simply wanted them to stay as happy as they were becouse it was a family little...
