The red Thai curry here was absolutely exceptional. Already want to go back. I intrigued by Pattaya kitchen ever since I saw the local paper article saying the team had expanded out from the famous Wrestlers in Cambridge. It's a bit of a way out for us but I'd say the 35 minute drive was well worth it. Food was very good with the star being the red Thai curry. But also the king prawn pud Thai we had was also great. The staff recommended some other dishes for us to try on a return visit which will definitely happen. Now these guys have only been open a week so service was little slow and shaky but nothing to cause any big issues. They were super super busy (on a Wednesday night) and think they maybe just didn't expect this volume of customers so early into opening. But all simple stuff and sure will bed in over time. Also amazing to see theta re dog friendly too which means we can visit in the future and bring our pup too. Pricing is fair and some of the dishes have smaller and cheaper children's portions too. Parking is all pretty much on street in the local neighborhood bar a few spots directly outside the front. Easy to find in the village of Lode. Looking forward...

Dining Club Meal- Friday 27 September 2024 My sister and myself were the hosts this time, for the Dining Club, and this restaurant was recommended to us, by a friend of ours, so when our guests arrived, the father and daughter, they had read a review of this restaurant in the local press, so they knew that the restaurant was popular, even though it is a new one. When our guests arrived, we all started off with drinks, a glass of white wine for the father and a pint of shandy for the daughter, a Frobisher Apple and Raspberry soft drink, and a half-pint of lager for my sister, and two bowls of Prawn Crackers. For our Mains, the daughter had a Panang Curry,a coconut based curry with onions mixed peppers, basil, and rice, the father had a Thai Green Curry with Prawns, onions, mixed vegetables, rice and noodles, and both my sister and myself had the same. We had no dessert. If you have gone to The Wrestlers Pub to drink or eat-in, Pattaya Kitchen is run by the same...

Our family had been to The Shed previously and have always said how lovely it was so decided to book for Father's Day. Had a look at the menu online and was happy with the choice that was shown. When we arrived they only had a limited menu and the choice was very poor. Not a huge variety, starters had 2 types of prawn dishes, a couple of veggie options, nachos and pate and when we asked if there was anything else we could have for a starter such as soup, we were told no as that was on the winter menu, but that is the menu that is shown online. Did express our disappointment to the waitress but was told that she would not pass on our feedback to the manager as she does an excellent job. Just feel that the website needs updating to say that there is a different menu on a Sunday and then customers could avoid the disappointment of not getting the meals they want. Also when the food did arrive, it was...

I just had to try it as I have been going to The Wrestlers for over 35 years. This is a huge venue, loads of seating, they could accommodate a whole coach load of people and only a short walk from the NT Anglesey Abbey. I cycled there from Haddenham via Wicken fen, then back via Reach and Ely. The Prawn Hot Thai was as good as the Wrestlers and had 8 Prawns in the meal. I was a little disappointed in the real ale beer selection considering it was a free house and the Wrestlers a Charles Wells pub, but it is Early days. Well worth a visit. I went on a Sunday afternoon, this could be a great venue for a band as the place is so large. Needs more Thai stuff hanging from ceiling or on walls to give it more character, but it's early days.

We visited on Wednesday 27th August 2025 for a birthday meal for my husband, 3 of us, it was probably about the 5th time we have visited, we are also fans of the Wrestlers, but find Pattaya Kitchen just a little quieter and more spacious, so it is our place if choice if we are able to drive out. The food is absolutely top notch and service so friendly. I was so pleased to see it so busy on a Wednesday evening just showing how popular it is. The additional side dishes available if a great addition, and the availability of a dessert is also good ....not that I could have possibly fitted one in!!? Maybe sharing sides and a main would have made this possible.....next time😉
