I popped into starbucks for a drink with a snack and had a pretty good experience. The Tiramissu iced latte was decent, and the muffin was tasty. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxed, making it a nice spot to catch up with friends or get some work done. The service was friendly, but a bit slow at times. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual cafe visit, but nothing that blew me away."

The usual Starbucks, you know what you are getting and how much it's gonna cost. Latte not as strong as some chains but OK. Hot chocolate had whipped cream but weren't offered marshmallow or chocolate dusting? Maybe they don't do it out in the Fens. Slow service as new trainee being shown the job.

First impressions - slow and scruffy. Tables need wiping and clearing. Staff have no sense of urgency and clearly not interested in doing anything outside their immediate space. Terrible experience particularly as Starbucks are more expensive than other brands.

Today was the final nail in the coffin of me going to Starbucks ever again. The lack of customer service coupled with poor attitude of servers especially for the new prices is now a stretch to far.

When faced with staff that following a simple enquiry of why is that so much more than my last purchase is answered with I don’t know I just work here , which I believe is an oxymoron…in my mind does not equate to customer service or de escalating a customer frustration with such a stupid response especially when other responses were available

  1. Let me check I may have entered something twice by mistake or misheard you !

  2. have I got the right size that may be the difference, can I check what size you wanted ?

  3. This is a breakdown of what I have put into the order till and the price; your base coffee is this and then list extras and price so the customer can see (especially as they are not on display)

And that’s with me not even working there … but to be meet with I don’t know I just work in a coffee shop. Working there means you should have more of an idea because you work there and need the knowledge to deliver customer service.

Good bye Starbucks App and Gold member...

Stopped here for a toilet break and for something to eat and to stretch our legs and the dog wanted a wee. Very airy and welcoming, friendly staff but disappointed by the choice of sandwiches. We opted for a cheese and tomato panini and a 5 cheese sandwich, that is all that was in the cabinet. Both were both heated up to take out with 2 regular Cappuccino's. The cost! An eye-watering ÂŁ17:10...... There are, as we found out later, other rival well known outlets in the vicinity where the choice is better and the prices cheaper. We won't be going back there again, we left very disappointed and lighter...

Ambience is nice, especially when you consider this was once a Little Chef. Unfortunately it is let down by it's staff - on every occasion I've visited so far the staff just don't seem to be interested, with stock taking or conversations with their colleagues taking precedence to serving customers. The cakes and pastries selection look like a bakery from the time of rationing, when it first opened I assumed this was due to stocking issues but several months on its the same. Either pop into Ely and use the one in town or go up the road to Ely Leisure Park and...
