Responding to the owner: I dropped by for a cream tea on 17 September, at around 4:30pm. Since GoogleMaps mentioned the shop closed at 5pm, I did ask before placing an order whether the cafe was still open. The lovely young woman at the cashier and the man were very nice. They said it'd be ok and asked me to take a seat.
But there was an older woman in a short bob who looked very crossed from the get-go/ who tooked the order from the cashier (in front of me, she asked the cashier, "What does she want!?"), and it was downhill from there. I sat outside and she was banging things down unnecessarily on other empty tables as she was clearning them away. Afterwards, there was so much unnnecessary and extremely loud noise coming out of the kitchen (where I was sitting quite close)--banging things down, dropping them. It went on for a good part of ten minutes that it felt intentional. I wolfed down my two large scones and the scalding hot tea in less than 15 minutes and had to go away. I wish I went to another cream tea place in the market square because one staff at Liddons Dairy Tea Room ruined my perfectly happy, sunny, last day in Devon.

They have Llamas in the field beside their own car park which has plenty of space. Inside there is a play area and books. Richard and Carolyn are very friendly serving cakes, scones, ice cream, tea and excellent barista coffee. Great for families, walkers and...

We sat outside where there were plants for sale, inside there is a dedicated area for children with a lovely array of toys and books. Dogs are very welcome. Our drinks and food were very nice and nothing was too much trouble. They even have a...
