We visited Seaton tramway about 10 years ago and having visited again now we congratulate them on the extensive improvements completed. We started from Colyton station with the free car park. Our only gripe is lack of signage from the road through Colyton. We drove through twice and saw nothing other than a pedestrian sign. We eventually asked a local who gave good directions. After coming down the hill through Colyton, turn right immediately after the bridge. There is a lovely tea room with extensive and reasonably priced menu. We had the large and delicious cream tea!! There are many more trams now and the drivers are very friendly and informative. The journey to Seaton takes about 25 mins and gives lovely views of the Axe estuary. Seaton station has been totally rebuilt and is very smart. Fares are very reasonable and can be pre-booked online. You are free to hop on and off as often as you like on the same day. Colyton station also has clean toilets and a nice gift shop. The trams are reasonably comfortable but have hard wooden seats. The stairs up to the top floor are small and take care to navigate. Disabled or those with reduced mobility can be accommodated on the lower...

This is out 3rd visit to Sandymouth. We spent Christmas week here and also came in Feb half term. The accommodation is lovely the place was warm even in a storm and also clean The staff couldn't be more helpful.. The food in the cafe/restaurant is what you would expect at the price. Portions sizes are good. The pool is small and the changing facilities need some love but in the winter it's quiet and we often had the pool practically to ourselves. Heads up though in the Feb half term the sessions booked up so quickly we didn't get one swim so worth booking asap. Also we booked several kids activities. Some are for groups and in the dead of winter don't run if there isn't a big enough group but those that did run were fun and gave me (single parent) a break while I sat close by and drank a coffee. The staff are enthusiastic and seemed to enjoy running the sessions even if there was only my child. I certainly couldn't imagine enjoying this site at the height of the summer, even in Feb it was as busy as I can manage. But if you don't mind that then it's a great option for a...

The food here is so good, and I mean it was amazing. We had the drivers breakfast which was excellently cooked. The sausage was the best I think we have ever tasted it was local, and was a big one too. The eggs, beans and potatoes were perfect too. My daughter had the fish and chips and she ate it all which means only good things. Now because we were visiting the Seaton tramway the driver said they also did cream teas, so on our second visit we had some of them while the kids had some ice cream. The scones were delightful and looked handmade, the cream and jam was also very very good. When we visit here again we will definitely be back. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is seating inside and out. If outside you sit on picnic benches and your food is brought too you (except the drinks). You can watch the trams go by with excited people. Very highly recommend. Some other good things here is that if your taking a dog they are allowed everywhere which is great news for when the weather isn't all that great too...

Thank-you to all the staff here, who were so accommodating for my mum's 80th birthday today. We were a party of 18, who were brilliantly catered for with the 'group buffet lunch'. A fantastic spread - the delicious scones were particularly noted by our group! The staff were so helpful from start to finish - allowing us to bring cake, presents and decorations in advance and letting us take 'doggy bags' away at the end! Mum throughly enjoyed her special day and the 'surprise party' in the middle of her tram journey! Thank you to all - i highly recommend! ( I don't usually do a Google review - in fact, i believe it is my first, but i felt compelled to do so after such helpful staff- in a wonderful setting- made my mum's day special!)
