Sushi and shake — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

Absolutely shocking experience with this company. Made the order through Ubereats but they use their own drivers from the restaurant, stated the food would be 20 minutes. Waited for 40 minutes and called the restaurant where the girl on the phone said that the food was out for delivery and would be about 10-20 minutes, fine I can wait it’s Friday night so they’re clearly busy. Around 40 minutes later I called again as the food still isn’t here, speak to the same girl who said they need to make the order again and it would be 30 minutes, annoyed and hungry we agree. 35-40 minutes goes by and it’s still not here! Called the company a third and final time where I could hear them panicking and saying “it’s that girl again who hasn’t got her order”, there’s a struggle and a manager comes on who tries to explain that Uber listed the order time as 20:00 not 18:20, now this whole thing could have been avoided if they had just told me that and not lied that my order was out for delivery. I stated I wasn’t paying and I just want the refund, the manager says he can accommodate and the food is worth the wait and would be 5 minutes away, 10-15 minutes later it is finally delivered!

Open up the order and the bag is soaked and the food drops out all over the table! Poorly packaged, cold and now all over my dining room table, I message the Facebook page where they said “we will send more food out in 20 minutes” and I begged them not to and to just send a refund.

4 weeks has now gone by and my messages were ignored and they’re totally blaming Uber when they clearly were lying the whole time. They have also blocked my partner when he sent proof that they said they would arrange a refund.

Just go to Waitrose and buy a sushi platter it’s way easier and...

This place has gone downhill, badly.

I used to order from Sushi & Shakes quite regularly, the food was always really tasty, well presented and delivered quickly (I always order straight from their website).

One of the last times I ordered from them, sometime last year, I was left waiting 2-3 hours for my food in the middle of the day as there had apparently been a power outage (conveniently I had to call them multiple times to get this information). The food was still nice when it finally came, so I decided I would give them the benefit of the doubt.

I have ordered today and been left waiting over an hour for my food (ordered at half 12 in the afternoon on a Tuesday) , called multiple times no one answering. My food arrived and it looks as though it’s been through a car crash. Avocado maki had all unrolled in the box, and dragon roll looked like a saucy mess, The miso soup smelled and tasted bad and contained no tofu. I decided not to even attempt to eat the miso as it genuinely tasted as though it had gone bad/out of date.

I won’t be giving my custom to this business again which is a shame as I was previously a regular but I have watched the level of service deteriorate. The service was poor and now the food is bad too. I would advise not wasting your time and giving your custom and money to other businesses who provide a high quality service...

Omg !! I went back here ,Never again been here a few times and I really don't know why and how they are still open. I went back spent over £40 on a few milkshakes and a so called waffle which was very stale tasting ,grey, very dry and very burnt with bit chocolate on it and few slices of banana it was truly discusting is all I can say, taste like they had it months, I would like to say to the restaurant If you can't be bothered to dish your food with a bit of respect and a bit of care behind it,, then I don't know how you are staying in business,, the milkshakes are awful plane icecream not nice taste old aswell very bland sound nice taste discusting i could honestly make a better waffle and milkshake at home at least it would have flavour and be fresh,,they ,offered another waffle but it would only go in the bin i honestly can say ,they havent got a clue about quality of food its cheap and nasty I really wouldn't like to taste what eles they have. Never again will I be ordering you don't deserve a restaurant Sooner...
