Paisá — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

I can not explain how impressed me and my partner were of this place. This place exceeded all expectations, and our expectations were high after being recommended to go here by so many people. The food was to die for.. i love cheese and meat boards and honestly these were the best cheese and meat boards we have ever had. The cocktails were amazing and flavoursome. My partner tried some beers he had never had before as these were sources from Italy and Sardinia.. which he loved all of them. And the dessert.. the white chocolate and pistachio cake is the best cake i have ever had and i am a huge desert person.

It is a dream for anyone gluten free, i will be taking my mum who is Coeliac here shortly.

Francesca served us all evening and she was the best waitress we have ever had. You could tell she loved the food and drink herself, she was able to recommend and advice portion sizes. She named and described all the cheese and meats so we knew exactly what we were eating and all the staff were friendly, welcoming and smiley.

I loved to see how many dogs were in here aswell, completely dog friendly. My two can come with me next time and there will certainly be a next time...

We stopped for a light lunch and drinks on a sunny Sunday, and were delighted with both the food, service and drinks.

Having been to Rome in April and both being lovers of authentic Italian food, we felt transported back to Italy with Arancini to begin and then 2 focaccia bread sandwiches with fresh truffle mortadella, buffalo mozzarella and rocket. We also ended up having cannoli to finish which were excellent as expected!

The aperol spritz were generously made and good value for money too.

Worth mentioning the food was also priced extremely fairly and very reasonable for Bishop’s Stortford, but baring in mind the quality it felt almost too good to be true.

No doubt we’ll be back again soon, whether for a drink and bite to eat in the day or later in the evening to try out the nighttime atmosphere.

Would 1000% recommend! Especially for anyone who loves Italian food...

Charged £2 for the tiniest mayo sauce!!! Sauce with chips is free in every other restaurant or cafe, ridiculous to be charging for a teaspoon of sauce this day and age. £2 I wouldn't of asked for ketchup or mayo if I knew we were going to be robbed for the condiments!

If it wasn't for the sneaky hidden cost of the half teaspoon of mayo then we would of liked the place! But to charge for mayo when you order chips is absurd. Not even McDonald's charges for sauce. Stingy stingy! Gave 2 stars because we did like the place initially before...
