The Windmill Café — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

Yesterday (Saturday) i went to their recently opened restaurant with the intention to browse around the shop afterwards. I would like to express my huge disappointment. It was what anyone would consider an absolute chaos!!! Took me 45 minutes queuing outside the restaurant, then already in i was asked to look for a table, get it's number and go back to the (inside) queue. (Hoping that no-one else would chose the same table!) When i reached the counter and asked for a sandwich i was told that there was a ONE HOUR waiting!! But inside the counter is full of sandwiches i said! I was told that there were people waiting for their orders at their tables!! The restaurant is spacious and there were so many empty tables!!! Needless to say i came back home to eat. By then it wa 3pm. Beyond...

Used to be fantastic, but now even taking Covid into account so unwelcoming. Staff doing best they can but sadly now very poor...

Brilliant place slightly on the higher price has a zoo experience for the little ones great...
