Masala hut — Restaurant in East Lindsey

The worst curry iv ever had and that's no exaggeration. Not sure what's happened here since we last went in May. Starters were good Bahji and samosas Chicken madras and lamb balti for main The madras had 5 sad little dry pieces of chicken and a random piece of tomato in a mild watery sauce so thin it wouldn't coat the back of a spoon.

The balti was no better. It was like they had bought the worst microwave curry you could buy and served it up. A thin tasteless gravy with a bit of curry powder chucked in. No tomatoes like a balti should have either. The consistency of each curry was thinner than a tin of heinz soup Maybe it has changed owners again recently? We will never go again. A shame because we go a few time a year in...

Cash Only - Dined here and had the banquet meal which includes a starter, main and a rice or naan.

As encouraged by the menu I asked for a curry with okra which was not on the menu - they made an excellent lamb bhuna which okra.

All of the food was great quality, mains, rice, naan and poppadoms / toppings.

The service was friendly and helpful, there was a minor error with our order, a mushroom pilau was served to table when we ordered a plain pilau but there was no issue with this.

Restaurant is on the cosy side with simple and tasteful decoration with a nice atmosphere.

Parking is available in the town center with the restaurant 50 paces down the lane.

Wow I come from Manchester, with hundreds of curry restaurants, I have also been to Pakistan three times and India twice, I have to say this place has the nicest food I have ever eaten, Mehbub the owner produces the finest food you could wish for, the taste and quality is beyond words, he is not only the Owner but he is also the head chef, he cares so much about the flavour and taste, that this isn’t only a business it’s a passion for him, you must try this place on a scale of 1-10 I would definitely give this food a 10 +++++++ honestly the best Asian food from any restaurant in country I have ever tasted.
