I normally would have given this particular McDonald's five stars as it is a great location with easy access back onto the main road between Stoke and Uttoxeter Derby etc and it just happens to be the perfect part of the journey from Nottingham when you might like to stop. Always found it very busy not too many regulars as such and generally speaking the front of house staff do a good job and ordering is on the app these days so mistakes off your than they used to be. However on this occasion there was a young lady with blue ponytail and despite me needing help I'm trying to attract her attention he was in fact very very busy talking to one of the uber delivery drivers not only ignoring me but the jobs she was paid to do. Tables were stacked up with left food and trays and the Ben with spelling over with people unsure what to do with their cardboard and cups etc. I think a lot more recycling could be done if McDonald's staff cleared the tables and helped customers with the recycling options as I feel that you only get about 20% of the stuff that can be recycled actually being recycled regardless of what McDonald's would like to think I see it time and time again and I think so much more could be done for stop anyway back to the young lady in question and I did have a word with not one but two managers both of whom said I wasn't the first person to say she seemed to be allergic to doing any actual work and the moment another member of staff came on tables were cleared instantly bins were empted and sorted and the rubbish that was on the floor from babies and toddlers who make the usual 3 foot floor pizza around where they've been sitting was all sweat and tidied within a maximum of five minutes so she could have spoken to her friend and done the cleaning and even maybe answered my question about the app. Anyway I don't normally complain and we did enjoy our food and drink even though we had to go to get the milk salt and napkins afterwards. I must point out at this juncture I do have disabilities and the person I was traveling with was 86 years old we both had walking sticks so we definitely could have done with being able to sit down and order at the table as I had hoped. Apologies for spelling mistakes or errors I have dictated this I'm not checked it carefully but I hope you get the gist and it is a very fair review highlighting the...

It's in Uttoxeter apparently (🤷♂️), squeezed on to the edge of a giant roundabout along with an Esso garage. It has the kind of tiny carpark that causes a pannick attack. The entrance and exit are multi lane and totally illogical, plus there's a drive through lane squeezed in as well. It can only be reached by car from the horrible roundabout, so inside were just weary travellers like us, desperate for something refreshing. I thought our order had been stolen by an uber-just-eat person, she charged to the counter, scooped up a dozen items, just as our number turned from 'preparing' to 'ready' and then disappeared from the screen. Turns out it wasn't stolen, ready or being prepared. It was round the corner still??
The gents toilet was a sewerage disaster, both urinals were broken and taped off like a crime scene, one toilet bowl was blocked and the whole place stank of drains. But they weren't going to let that shut them down. So I tried not to touch any surfaces, opened the door with my little finger and left to consume my order. 🤢.
Back in the car park, three of the largest vans in Britain had blocked any vehicles movements from our side. Luckily all the arriving traffic was confused by the arrows and heading for the exit, so we left via the entrance before it...
Read moreWent to the drive through and pre ordered a large big tasty with bacon meal and a toffee latte. The meal cost £10 so prices have started increasing up, got ushered past the first window to collect my food as I'd already pre paid. Second window I was handed my food and I asked for some tomato sauce for my chips (as I always do). The server then said he couldn't as I hadn't paid for them???? I asked why I needed to pay and he said because that's what we do now, its 10p a item!... so I've just paid your inflated prices and now you want me to pay for sauce that used to be free and is still free if I go inside the restaurant? I gave the guy 20p and I went to park so I could quickly eat my food and get back to work... I opened my bag and pulled out my "large" fries to find it only half filled, (kiddy happy meal portion more like), the burger was OK apart from it looked like it had been thrown into its box from 20ft away, but still disgusted with the extra charges, portion sizes shrinking and the new charge for sauce. They are charging premium dine in restaurant prices for something that's not premium, not dining in and is...
