Indian Spice Restaurant — Restaurant in East Staffordshire

The food here is lovely and we would highly recommend it. However, if your thinking of a takeaway then beware! We orded at 7pm and was told it would take an hour. I turned up at 8pm and spent 35 mins stood on the pavement. The bar area was full of people waiting for takeaways and there were around 6 of us standing outside. After 2 or three people had got their orders, (one ordering at 6:15pm! ) I ventured inside to find out exactly how much longer our order would be. I was told 5 minutes by a seemingly stressed out staff member. I then waited another 10-15 mins at which point as more people were entering and waiting for takeaways i decided to cancel my order and leave. After finally gaining the staff members attention he walked away as I was midway through my sentence. Needless to say this annoyed me even more! I left the restaurant and decided to KFC it! We had a great evening at Indian Spice with our four daughters, the staff were helpful and friendly, our youngest is 1 and we’d had a long day at Alton Towers so she wasn’t the happiest but they were great! The restaurant is lovely and the food was amazing!!! One of the best Indian restaurants we have been to, so much choice and everything was cooked to perfection, so flavourful, my chicken Chanawala was Devine! My Husband had the chicken Sagwala, a dish he has often and it was the best one he’s had, the chicken was so tender! Owner was very aggressive, the card machine was playing up and was declining peoples cards. The lady got round to mine it declined, tried once more and i got a notification that it had been taken out of my bank and the man said it’s been cancelled I have to pay again, I went into my banking app and proved it had been taken out, I did try and show the man but he wouldn’t look to see the proof. The man did then get very aggressive shouting very loud and demanding I pay again. I refused as it did go through and he then told me and my 7 friends to leave.
