Urban Chef — Restaurant in East Staffordshire

Unfortunately I have to advise to avoid this place unless you have hours to spare. Tried to buy from their take away, there was a short queue of only about 6 people in front of me. The staff were busy making up preordered orders and did not even acknowledge that people were waiting. I stood there for 16 minutes and the queue had not moved one person.

Whilst I understand that they were busy they should have closed there takeaway section until the orders were completed, or at the very least explained to people waiting that there was little chsnce of service at that time. To just leave people standing there with not even speaking to them and apologising for the wait is I'm afraid more than unproffesional it is just ignorance,

I can not comment on the food as I gave up and went to a different takeaway that even with driving time was a quicker experience and was served...

Unfortunately the urban chef has gone down hill. Not only was one guy not wearing his mask fully over his nose whilst serving and cooking during the covid-19 period. The Food i collected was only warm.considering I live just around the corner. You would expect food to be hot . Not urban chef. Although our food was replaced the food was yet again warm. I am so disappointed as this used to be a decent chip shop. But now its somewhere myself and family will not be eating from in the near future. because warm food breeds bacteria.. health and...

Wow! Great find and worth the trip out from where I live. Especially considering that there are at least two chip shops that are good and we drove past them to get here.

Great portions of fish and chips, with and excellent choices of sides. Try the minted peas, delicious.

Parking available. The restaurant also does takeaway. Clean smart interior with smiley happy serving staff.
