Owl & Pussycat — Restaurant in East Suffolk

If you’re looking for a cheap bite then it’s good for that but this visit left me and my family lost for words due to a waitress that was so rude and disrespectful. We ordered a meal and replaced the chips with baby potatoes. When the time came, the meal was served with a jacket potato instead of baby potatoes. We kindly told the waitress that it wasn’t what we ordered and that we’d like it changed. To which she replied in a dismissive manner “it won’t hurt you, just have that!” Unsatisfied with this response, we told her that “we don’t like jacket potatoe and we would like the baby potatoes which we had ordered please.” To this she repeatedly said “Just have that, just have that!” whilst turning and walking away. She walked off and left us the with the plate. No apology, no empathy! We can all understand if something was mixed up or miscommunicated but the response she gave didn’t mention anything of the sort and we didn’t deserve that from her.

We arrived on a Sunday about 6pm. The place was deserted. We sat in a booth and the kids got some games out. Unfortunately they're all incomplete. The food came out quickly, but cold. We had to ask for more garlic bread as they had burnt ours to a crisp. My husband had the tex mex sharer and had to send half of it back at the end( as they didn't come to check if the food was ok) the chicken in the taco was grey and smelled sour ( he never sends food back). The kids pizza is a Chicago town margarita. The whole experience was a shambles. Then myself and my husband were ill the next morning. My parents said that's what happened to them when they last went aswell, they got very poorly the next morning. Unfortunately we won't be returning and I would suggest avoiding this place like everyone else seems to have already done. It's like a ghost town...

Came to Felixstowe for the afternoon and stopped off at the Owl & Pussycat with the family (4), We was greeted by Ash and Michelle and seated quickly. Ordered food and drinks from Michelle, food came in a timely manner and the waitress was very helpful. We all thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered from Bacon Cheese Burger, Fish and Chips, and two Katsu Chicken Curry's which were lovely. We all had clear plates. The teens went on to order the children's Sunday which was recommended by Michelle and it was a generous portion that they also enjoyed.
