The service was very warm and friendly, and it’s a nice spot if you’re looking to sit and chat for a while. However, the pace was very slow when we visited today and several tables were empty — it took around 30 minutes for our order and drinks to arrive, and another 20 minutes before the food came. The food was very traditional and reminded me of home-style cooking from years ago. My toasted sandwich had a simple cold filling of a thin slice of processed ham, tomato, and finely chopped onion, mildly warmed by the heat of the toast (personally not to my taste as I prefer a hot filling). One of our party ordered a cheese scone, which arrived last; the waitress kindly explained that the first had been left in the oven too long, so they prepared another fresh one, which is why it took so long. They kindly gave us the first scone free of charge. Although an unusual touch, it was a thoughtful gesture — and our dogs were delighted to enjoy it, as it wasn’t too overdone and came with some grated cheese on the side.

READ THE END OF THIS REVIEW PLEASE!!!! Had been meaning to give this spot a look for a while, took a punt today! All I can say is what a GREAT spot for a cafe! A nice 5 min stroll to and from the car park was gr8 for Nima. We always look for dog friendly cafes so Nima can be with is. On arrival we were given doggo treats, and made to feel very welcome. The lady who was serving informed us there may be a little delay due to being busy, we'll, if 10mins from ordering to getting fresh coffee is a delay, I'll take it! The food was simple and very nicely prepared, the staff were great. We shall certainly be back. Thanx to all! NIMA. 🏴‍☠️🐾🐾 As an edit to the above, today, we waited 25 minutes after ordering with NO sign of a drink or a dog treat to be told that we were next, another 10 minutes, and on asking for a progress update, they didn't know which was our order, I had to get a refund as I was out of time. WHAT HAS GONE WRONG????

We struggle to find somewhere to accept our pet so this place is perfect. You don't need to have a dog to come here. Nice setting just at the end of the common. It's a cafe and food was of a good cafe standard. A good menu for lite bites, sandwich, jacket potato etc. service was friendly. Only slight negative was that our food came out at different times. One member had finished and another had just got theirs. There is a dog menu too. Dog liked it so will go back

We hired out the enclosed god field and followed it up by having lunch here recently and I cannot begin to express how delighted we were with the service we received.

We arrived and were offered coffee’s on the house as the enclosed field was being checked for any holes/gaps that any dogs could get through.

When it was ready we were very kindly escorted to the field where we left to our own devices while our dogs had an absolute whale of a time.

The fiend itself is perfect and very reasonably priced.

Afterward we headed inside for a cracking lunch with absolutely brilliant and personable service.

Will 100% return and recommend to...
