I emailed you on Tuesday regarding a bad experience I'd had the Friday previous (see below) and I have had no response. I'm absolutely appalled at your customer service and your lack of concern for the carelessness in your food preparation which resulted in my weekend being ruined and me missing the wedding of a dear friend.

I visited your restaurant on Friday evening (18th October) with my partner and a couple of friends as we had travelled up from Essex and were staying at the Ufford Park Hotel for an old school friend's wedding the next day. I ordered the duck pancakes and we had lovely evening. Unfortunately I then woke up in the early hours of Saturday morning with an awful tummy ache. I then spent the whole of Saturday unable to keep any food or drink down, and had to miss our friend's wedding which I had been looking forward to all year. I had also paid a fair amount in hotel costs and bought a whole new outfit especially for the wedding, as well as having booked time off of work, all of which sadly was ruined by food poisoning. I'm very disappointed as we spent rather a lot whilst dining with yourselves, and it was otherwise a...

A dining , not drinking pub. Worth a visit if you’re passing. Pre corona used to be a regular. Always nice. Somewhere for dining a bit above average. Soft colour furnishings. Woody. I didn’t think it needed to change. Post corona seems to have had a change of decor. Perhaps a bit harder in terms of surfaces, less soft surfaces and banquettes. I sense the whole thing has become more casual (not that it was terribly formal ‘before’). I can’t recall staff from ‘before’ so don’t know if they’ve changed. Slowish service on my visit. Very casual. Not casual prices though! Food seems about the same as before. Presentation decent. Combination of flavours quite well balanced. Range of choices very good. Menu not too long (a good thing). Quality good. Drinks. Earl Soham ‘Mermaid’ very indifferent. Would not buy again. Adnams southwold quite well kept. A Tempranillo...

Disappointing. They mislaid our starters, forgot my wine and served our mains with a vast amount of French fries. Enough to overwhelm the main event and put us off the puddings we had been looking forward to. Got some very insincere apologies. Pub grub for large appetites, yes, something a bit more refined, no. Though the main ingredient was good for each of us. no - I don't want sword fish and salsa buried (literally)under French fries and salad, and no one likes to be forgotten by the staff. As I said, disappointing though with good points. Not too expensive, cocktails and wine nice and good value. Just don't go there for romance or refinement as we did! Btw, mentioned this at the time. Teflon, by the sound of things, but you never know - they were run off their feet so maybe they...

What a fantastic meal we had at The Crown in Ufford! We started with the deep-fried Brie, and it was absolutely delicious. We both had, the pork belly from the specials menu. It was beautifully cooked with amazing crackling, a rich gravy, and creamy mash. Every bite was perfect. The service was also top-notch. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, especially with our three-year-old. They went out of their way to make sure she was happy, and she absolutely loved her meal sausage, chips, and peas. What really made the experience for us was the excellent play area—it kept our little one entertained for ages. Plus, the great parking and disabled access made everything so easy. We can't wait to go back!

We celebrated a special occasion at The Ufford Crown recently. I hadn’t been for a few years, but it was well worth the wait. The food is arguably the best of any pub in the area, especially the pork belly, which I’m still thinking about weeks later. I’d love to know how they make crackling that good. Three of us ordered tempura monkfish to start, but there were only two portions left, so I happily agreed to have prawns instead, which were still superb. We didn’t have time for dessert, but none of us needed it as the mains were enormous. Service was polite if a little slow for the drinks. The food more than made up for it, however.

We enjoyed our winter Sunday lunch at the Ufford Crown. There were other dinners (eg curry) also being served alongside so good for a mixed party. The roast dinner options were wide - vegetarian, duck, beef, lamb, chicken, and a pork belly! Each with all the trimmings. The tables and decor means it feels cosy and comfortable. The food is tasty and the service is quick enough without being rushy, the wait-staff are nice. Toilets are clean but were out of paper towels for hand drying on this visit. Would recommend here for a Sunday lunch.
