I really hate giving bad reviews but I felt I had to give an honest review of Kutis fair oak. First of all I was really disappointed of how little I got for my money. I spent around £45 and felt I didn’t have much to show for the money compared to other curry houses in the area. I ordered the chicken tikka korma, although the sauce was very nice, that’s pretty much all it was, there was 4 bits of chicken in the container and I’m not sure it was even tikka. I spent over £7 something on the prawn starter and it was tiny. The two cheese nann breads were cold and rock solid, we couldn’t even bite into them. In fact all of the food was stone cold apart from the small portion of chicken korma. Chips were also inedible as they were cold and rock hard. The rice was cold and dry. Poor food quality for such a price. I was incredibly disappointed in this takeaway meal. I came to the restaurant years ago and thought it was lovely, looks like the food quality has gone downhill with a very big price hike.

The worst meal I have ever had second time of purchasing this meal; what I got wasn’t the same as what I got the first time, I ordered this. There was butternut squash only some kind of potato tasting stuff with onions this time a completely different meal this time with no onions no taste of spices just blend but with a lot of stuff that appeared to resemble carrots, but didn’t taste anything like carrots. Garlic Naan x 1£3.35 Chana Butternut Squash x 1£9.40 Vegetable Samosa x 1£4.45 Total£17.20 Therefore a complete waste of my money and petrol driving to this restaurant. The food that they just dish out which never resembles anything like what is described on their menu isn’t fit to feed a DOG!!!! I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

The take away curry was lovely, but when I checked my receipt the this morning, I discovered I’d apparently treated myself to a mystery dish for £6.75. I Certainly did not order the “Green Chilli paneer” as I didn't even know this dish existed. Perhaps I blacked out in a fit of curry-induced euphoria? Then there’s the £4.80 for six poppadoms and £3.20 for chutneys a total price of £8 just for this alone.—are these poppadoms and chutneys hand-woven by artisans and dipped in gold? While the curry was nice, the drip pricing left me feeling like I’d been in a boxing match with my wallet—and my wallet lost, leaving an overall sour taste in my mouth. Emailed as requested. (Please read update at bottom also) Food fantastic but customer service was poor on my first visit. Booked food for new years eve way in advance. On the night had a 40min wait and no communication so the horde of customers waiting no happy. Guy next to me got his and he only ordered 1 hour before when I ordered days beforehand. Obviously they were still accepting orders even though they were way over run. I expect and I'm happy to have a delay on a busy night but the lack of communications let them down. Also the bar attendant was not very switched on and a bit slow, especially when there was a full restaurant and a crowd of people (easily 25+ waiting). I eventually asked the manager what's going on and his response was my order is just coming.. interesting as I hadn't even told him who I was. Need to improve the customer service but as mentioned the food was very nice.

Update: this is now our go to place for takeaway and customer service has always been good on recent visits over the last few years. Food has always been very high quality and really tasty plus plenty of it! Highly recommended!!! But perhaps not on a new...

My friends and I booked for their buffet on Sunday evening, this was our first visit. We were seated at the back where it was freezing, i ended up getting my coat and putting it over my legs. The positive is the selection of food, including the salad although the desserts were disappointingly lazy. We had starters first and I thought as we were talking our food had gone cold, then we realised the food warmers weren't keeping the food cold. By the time we went back for the second round of mains the food was piping hot, this should have been sorted in the beginning. Now I hate service charge and get it removed. Its not for me to top up employees wages, though this was added on so the questions is do the staff even benefit from tips. I was incensed they added it as we had a buffet, so went and got our own food, the only things that were brought to is was our drinks and naans. I asked the server why the charge was added as they all the got us was our drinks and he looked blankly at me. Overall a...

So, I try a lot of Indian restraurants, especially in the Southampton area. This is now in my top 5, I'll definitely be going again. Popped in without a booking, table for two on a Tuesday evening. Staff really friendly and attentive, no problem not having a reservation during the week. I really like the decor, there are little circular bays affording some privacy if you fancy it which is lovely. We opted for an open table for two. Wow - the food was exceptional. Lamb Rezalla starter and a Chicken 89 main and Bombay pots and onion bhajis. All came out in reasonable time and with a smile. Lamb Rezalla was phenomenal, best starter I've had anywhere, and the Chicken 89 was a delicious spicy goodness - really really good. Downsides? None really. I felt a little rushed after we had finished, which we ignored and the mens toilet floor was very wet and slippery. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. If you're into your indian cuisine and want to try somewhere out of the way definitely...
