Vic’s Fish Bar — Restaurant in Eastleigh

Popped into here on the way home thought I would give it a try as the reviews looked good and looked like a nice place the 1 positive was food was nice and reasonable priced now the negative... it was busy which I dont mind to wait but ended up waiting 25 mins just for a large chips and 2 sauages and fish cake as they had forgot my fish cake to even cook it and then didn't have 2 sauages only one I said something and the lad behind cooking the fish gave me a not so nice look as I said it been 25mins but while waiting maybe it wouldn't of been missed if the lad cooking fish didn't keep picking up his phone while being busy and then ends up missing orders and the other one just seemed to be dunk chips once in a while the girls at the front cant fault them was apologing etc but the lad again was getting bit rude too them when they was asking where the food was so definitely won't be going back as dont wanna be waiting again while people sit on phones instead of cooking such a shame cos was...

Ok I get it's cooked to order, am for that I'm thankful, the prices are the same as other local fish and chip bars. However the quality and quantity is very different and this shows when you compare to one in fair oak and another in bishopstoke. Again they are also cooked to order, the big difference being better value for money quantity wise, far better tasting and interaction with the customers whiles waiting. Though to be fair this may come to Vic's over time when or if they build a loyal clientele. Those 1st steps need to be taken though. Loose the boxes (not good) and have staff talk to customers, it doesn't cost a copper coin and taking that 1st step of listing and being interested will...

If you live locally you will know there are probably 3 good chip shops very close together. After visiting all 3 in the last couple of months. It is clear to see that Vic’s is head and shoulders above the rest. Outstanding quality., which does not drop even at the busiest of times, finally a large portion of chips that can feed a hungry family of 4, great service, fantastic value for money.
