This’ a delayed review. Had dinner here last Friday. Started with a Pàte della Casa. The serving portion was generous. The pàte was flavourful and slight rustic texture (my preferred texture rather than a smooth mousse). For the mains, the amazing Ravioli all ‘Aragosta filled the palate with the lovely lobster flavour. The shellfish bisque with the ravioli was so good that the plate was licked clean. Next, the Merluzzo e Pancetta was wonderfully cooked with the roasted but tender cod fish. The pancetta elevated the cod fish...heaveny. The Pollo ai Funghi was succulent and tender. The mushroom aroma from the creamy sauce was upfront as I draw close to the dish. To complete the dinner, paired the dishes with a lovely Pinot Grigio. For the dessert, the Tartina al Limone was heavenly but it did made me craved for Amalfi’s lemons. The service was great and prompt. Strongly recommended even if you’re not at this vicinity.

We visited 3 weeks ago for the first time. The staff were accommodating and friendly, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The starters were delicious, especially the one with the prawns and chorizo! As a main we got the seafood platter which was £32, but it was way overpriced for what it was; the portion was for one person only, and it was way overcooked! P.S. We had been advised by the waiter in advance that the seafood platter was ideal for one person, and we were ok to share as we were having a starter each anyway. Based on how good the starters were I believe this restaurant has great potential and would recommend, but would recommend avoiding the seafood platter.

Table of 14 all were happy with their experience tonight. First visit and must say very well decorated and has a lovely feeling. Nice welcome and service throughout was excellent. I had 3 courses calamari which was a bit disappointing and a bit chewy. Salmon in saffron sauce with mussels with veg. Lovely well cooked large piece of salmon but I would have the skin facing up to keep it crisp. The veg was perfectly cooked. Then tiramisu with was large and fine but needed a little more kick of coffee. Will definitely call again.

Just visited Antico for the first time and it was an excellent experience! Nice decor, the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent. Really tasty and there was plenty of it. The prices were very reasonable too. We were a table of 10, there to celebrate my 60th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who conducted the communal singing of "Happy Birthday" to me and brought the cake, my wife had arranged, to the table. We'll definitely be back in the near future.

Update:- Just had our second visit. Shouldn't have taken so long to return really.

All I can say is it was every bit as good as the last time.

Food excellent (try the spicy scotch egg starter it was awesome!!)

Staff were great, same level of attentiveness without being intrusive.

We definitely won't wait as long for...

I was majorly disappointed in my meal and my families meals here last week (17.9.21) week.. First visit since change of ownership and lockdowns etc.. Table still had crumbs on when we were seated, I commented on that and nothing was done, food arrives Chicken was overcooked and dry, pasta was flavourless, pizza toppings seemed rationed. Ordering refill of drinks was difficult, staff weren't busy just not paying attention the seated customers.

Decor is very nice, staff are friendly but let down by food and attention to detail.

I won't be visiting here again, and for the high increase of price since change of ownership and downfall of quality I wouldnt recommend anyone else to come here...
