Bait Box Fish Bar — Restaurant in England

Very disappointing - the food itself wasn’t bad - but the cheap beef dripping they use, totally spoilt our meal. The chips were greasy and had a nasty aftertaste and the scampi had an ‘air space’ between the batter and the actual scampi and the coating tasted disgusting! My husbands burger in batter was hard, thin and had the same aftertaste. The fat they use must be the cheapest, nastiest beef dripping, ever! The lady serving behind the counter was very pleasant and said there was nothing she could do, because she didn’t fry the food and said the establishment was being sold. The current owner, an Indian lady, wasn’t bothered at all; she didn’t even come and discuss my complaint and stood at a distance with no concern, whatsoever! Very disappointed, since half of it...

Ordered some food for a small party and the pizzas were lush. The cheesy chips and loaded chips were spot on, will definitely be on my order again next time. Everyone enjoyed it, the deals they do are really good for the price and you get quite big portions, especially than some of the other takeaways around here.
