Food was excellent at the beginning. However, the food quality has been slipping as of recently. The boss has been very abrupt when we are trying to enjoy our meal out. He continuously talks about how the staff are bad and will rarely leave us in piece.

As for the kitchen, the standards are worse than appalling. Did you know that when you order a Masala the sauce is cooked once then left in the pan until it is needed again and reheated many times a night?

The cutlery is then dried with USED CLOTHES from the tables that have stains on them. I will also add that these clothes have not been washed, they are removed from the tables when the customers leave then they are put into a wash basket where they are used to dry the cutlery.

The waiting staff have always been very friendly and try their best, they are told to dry the cutlery like this, there is also a bucket that is used to put the cutlery in and it is filled with water. The water is left in there for a long time then it is emptied for fresh water to go in, the staff are taught to do this and many times there has been food still on the knives and forks that just gets wiped away.

I have also been informed that there are rodent droppings in the supply room by the kitchen. I believe that this statement is true as I have had experience with the ordeals here. I was approached by a few people asking me if I was alright after the boss had been VERY rude to me IN FRONT of customers.

Overall the food was okay, but was dissapointed with the peshwari nan....never had one like it in my life, and hope never to again! Plain nan smothered witha sticky sugar syrup!! Main course of chicken tikka was nice. One guest on our table did not get the starter they ordered, and by the time we queried it, and it came...we were all waiting for our mains. Biggest gripe - another guest on our table ordered a pint of orange cordial and water - £2.30!!!!!! What a complete and under rip off. Wine was over priced for the quality and not measured...so hopefully the galsses contained somewhere around 175ml??? Overall experience - fair, but will...

Excellent, haven't been for a few years but we loved it. We went for the £14.95 five course special.

Every course was delicious, opted for the mixed dupiaza for a change, brilliant.

Definitely going back soon, in the mean time I will definitely be getting our next carry out from Masala ( they don't do delivery but if you can collect from the shop it's well worth the journey).
