It’s a pity that you can’t give a zero rating as this is an establishment worthy of such a score. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get any and, after 25 minutes of sitting at a dirty table with no one even bothering to take our order, we left. I let a member of staff know, when we arrived, where we were seated & asked if our table could be cleared of the previous customer’s debris. I was told someone would be with us shortly. After 20 minutes and still no cleared table, I asked another member of staff to clear it. This took two attempts and yet they still failed to clean it. Any cafe whose staff think it’s acceptable to leave customers at an obviously dirty table, which is covered in spilled coffee and food, isn’t one I want to eat or drink at and needs to remedy its very shoddy unhygienic standards. When I commented to the member of staff, who’d cleared but not cleaned our table, why we were leaving, her response was that they’d “been busy”. They’re supposed to be busy, it’s how they stay in business. Maybe they need a sign up to advise customers of shoddy (or no) service during busy periods. This seems yet another establishment, trading on its 15 minutes of fame on a TV show, which fails miserably to deliver even the basics of food and beverage service. One to miss. There are far better cafes...

This was my second visit here in the space of two weeks, both times the service was good & the food excellent.

And both times we had the Farmers Breakfast, well, I did, (it’s big, but delicious) & the soup/sandwich/fries combo, for my companion, also very good.

I can tell exactly why they recently won ‘Best Breakfast’, it really is the dogs you know what, trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

It was busy, so we were glad we had pre-booked, the staff do sometimes seem to struggle to keep tables clear & take orders, we were booked for 12 Noon, it was nearly 12:50 by the time the food arrived, when it did though it was definitely worth it, overall the staff performed well & were very engaging, they just seem short-staffed sometimes.

Coffee was very good, but again, could have been hotter, I can’t decide if they’re scared of making it too hot or if it sits there for a few mins before being served.

WIFI was troublesome & again I wasn’t able to connect.

Make sure you visit the on-site shop, lots of local goodies for sale in there, and the ponies too, don’t forget them!

Will I go back, absolutely.

8/10 for this...

Was shown to a table, sat down, waited. 10mins later when waiter taking order and menus from next table, walked past and said would bring us some menus. Did not. 5 minutes later managed to catch eye of waitress, requested menus, she returned with some. 10 mins later, they took order for food and drinks. Drinks came 20 mins later. Food still not with us 40 mins after order rung through, as per time on till receipt. Asked waiter how much longer, said he would go and find out. Did not come back, saw him taking orders and taking out food to others. A few mins passed, got up and found him in restaurant, asked whether he had found out about my food, apparently he had and it was next to be plated up, but hadn't bothered to tell us. Food came around 5 mins later. In all from time took seat and food arrived was around 1 hr 15 mins. Our hot drinks had started to go cold, well before the food arrived, which on the whole, was pretty average tasting food and overpriced. The only saving grace to this place is the...

Got there as they opened for breakfast having left London at about 5.30am so we were definitely up for a good breakfast . Super friendly, proactive staff who were chatty and welcoming. The cafe soon filled up. Quality of produce used for their breakfast was really good, all tasted so good - I believe the sausages are their own from the butcher in the farm shop). My only comment was that the tomatoes needed a bit more cooking and the butter could have been a bit softer (so cold it was hard to butter the toast), but otherwise all delicious. Coffee deserves a mention too. We returned before we left and visited the really well stocked farm shop where we stocked up on chutney, milk, butter, bacon and Isle of Wight tomatoes. We arrived at lunchtime and the cafe was full so if you are planning lunch I would strongly recommend booking. There is ample free parking onsite.

We went with some friends for the first time today for lunch. I can honestly say I won’t be going back. First it took 30 just to get a drink and even then they forgot one of the drink which took another 10 to be served. The food took over an hour to be served and it was not as advertised, I had the breakfast which didn’t have hash browns on and for some reason only half a mushroom. The beans were cold and so was the toast. My wife had a sandwich with was thick with cheap margarine and very little filling of bacon and chicken. We had a bowl of French fries which were again cold. The staff were friendly but clearly not able to cope with the amount of covers. When you look at the price of a breakfast over £12 you would expect a better standard and quality of produce and service. Sorry to say very disappointed what you see on the website is nothing like what you get.
