Botanical Tapas — Restaurant in England

Booked a table for two on Saturday night at 7.15. The place was completely full. We were shown to our table. Jug of water placed on table with two water glasses straight away. For the next 10 mins. nothing happened and had to ask for menu and wine list. For the next 10 mins nothing happened. Eventually managed to get the attention of the manager who apologised for the delay and told us to ignore the wine list as they did not have any in stock. She showed us two bottles of wine which were the only wine in stock. We selected the white wine. The lady also said that when we had selected our tapas she would advise on what was available. For the next 10 minutes nothing happened. The wine glasses never arrived. Nobody came to take our order. We were left staring at the water jug and the still corked wine bottle. Meanwhile, a queue had formed at the bar for people waiting for a table. So 40 minutes after arriving we decided to leave. The manager again apologised on our way out. What a waste of time. Went for husband's birthday. Staff very friendly and informal. We arrived as it opened at 6pm, there were us and two other tables. Food arrived very quickly after ordering and was all fabulous! Would recommend and will certainly be coming back as we love to support the restaurants in the local villages. I haven't got the menu to hand so I will try to list what we had to the best of my memory! We ordered the chorizo in red wine, potatas alioli, croquettes with chorizo (bit spicy, sorry for blurry photo!), beef meatballs (sauce was a bit spicy too), goats cheese in some sort of honey sauce & my hubby had the beef & chorizo burger. Also had a beer and a coke. Only note is that it would have been great to see an up to date menu online with clearly stated offers as I know they do different offers on...

We had a lovely meal at Botanical Tapas. We chose the special Thursday menu of 4 tapas dishes and 2 glasses of sangria for £25 which was really good value.
