Toddington northbound services Burger King.
The northbound services yesterday at approximately 19:40 was awful.
The poor team at the front of the house were taking grief from customers all over. The assistance manager ( I think her names was Hayley) Was running round trying to fix everything but in the next step was checking her phone, I saw this on a couple of occasions.
There was very poor communication between front of house service team and the kitchen area, It had to be repeated several times requests for orders to be completed on the computer system so they could clear of the screen at the front. To make matters worse there was at least a dozen burgers/main items sat on the pass and these were not touched at all in the whole time I was waiting for my order.
I observed 2 employees (I didn't see names) doing minimal. One of which was stood watching the 2 staff up front frantically trying to take orders and bag up orders for customers., then only after being instructed to help did they start to make drinks, but there was no system to the drink making and there was no organisation between the food orders and drink orders. The second employee I saw several times stick his head out of the back area looking at what was going on out front and when neither of the 2 staff doing orders were there he came out grabbed a drink from the machine and then left BK altogether.
My experience on this occassion was so poor that after waiting for nearly 50 minutes for my order I decided enough was enough and I joined the ever increasing queue to get a refund. There was probably upwards of 20 people sat waiting for their orders. The "Cooking / Collect" board was completely full and stayed full with new orders not appearing on the board for some time.
Several people who entered the restaurant were advised by people not to bother ordering by other customers, as there was nearly an hour wait for food. On this occasion it definitely wasn't fast food.
I waited to until I was not as angry and frustrated as I was when I left to write this review so I could remove any emotion from it.
What I like from this feedback would be a level of assurance these issues will be looked at, processes reviewed to ensure similar wont happen again and consideration for me to e compensated for the 50 wait, which would have been longer if I stayed to wait...
Read moreThis restaurant spolied my holiday went one afternoon on our way to our holiday destination presented Jill the server 3 vouchers as there was 3 of us dining, she looked at the vouchers for some time then proceeded to tell us she can only accept one, i challenged her and said it doesnt say that in the terms and conditions she suddently said she would do it as a favour to me, how rude!!! Embarrassing me in front of everybody
Next problem was she tried charged me £55 for a £8 meal, how incompetent of her, she really lacks basic customer service skills really wonder how she is still working here no apology no nothing once this problem is resolved we ask her for bbq sauce as its included with nugguts she says it would be 10p what the hell???? Then she finally gives it realising she made a mistake another problem encountered is that thr voucher said 9 nuggets but she says she can only give 6 how the hell is this fair very missleading advertising on voucher or perhaps jill didnt want to give us 9 what we paid for
To the franchisor if your reading this please retrain your staff or replace them for people who can do their job properly i am very disatisfied with the service i received this is becoming a trend based on other people reviewing this restaurant

Read moreI mean listen I don’t expect world class service at Burger King, but this branch in particular was literally terrible. Let’s start with the staff, it was like watching a group of circus clowns running around in circles and that was the whole issue! No one seemed to know what was going on and the person serving at the till looked like he absolutely hated serving people and, constantly making facial expressions that said “I hate my job and I hate the public” … This is not who you want front of house!! Then there was the team at the back making the food, they had an obvious disconnect with the front of house team because no one knew what order was coming out and if it was right or not??? Surely the big shiny screen with all of our orders electronically displayed would have been a good place to start? Right??? Nope!! Wrong, they decided to shout at each other to try and work out what would be or should be coming out next? Basically all these comedy led to our order taking 25 minutes ( maybe more) to come out….it wasn’t even that busy, but they just couldn’t seem to work it out… I won’t be back and would rather drive to the next services which by the way isn’t that far!! I’d hate to see what happens at this Burger King when it’s very busy as service stations generally are …That would be interesting to say...
