Brilliant location but very disappointing service and beverages. When my husband and I arrived there was only one other table occupied (three occupants). The other three outdoor tables had left overs on them, including the one where we chose to sit. I cleared the table and took the tray inside when I went to place our order. Despite there being three members of staff behind the counter we waited fifteen minutes for a cup of tea and a hot chocolate. The other tables had still not been cleared when our order was brought out. The pot of tea was fine but the hot chocolate was tepid, weak and watery... quite unpleasant. This could have been such a different review alas when I mentioned, very pleasantly; the poor quality of the hot chocolate the young lady to whom I'd addressed my comments said, "Oh, sorry ' and walked away. My advice to others is walk a little further and...

Unfortunately this cafe, which we've been coming to for 7 years has gone down hill. Our last 3 visits has made us decide to go elsewhere. We 1st noticed that our crockery appeared unclean with tea stains and other marks. Also our food was not up to it's usual mark. We ignored it until on the next visit it happened again, this time we noticed there were chips on the bottom of the mugs which are very poor quality. The food was again of poor quality and we decided to say something which appeared to fall on deaf ears. On the last visit the food was again poorand the service was not acceptable. On another point, we've never understood why they put a paper napkin under a toastie inside the cardboard receptacle. It always causes a soggie mess and surely would not be acceptable to food & hygiene inspectors. Very sad but we won't be returning...

This is a lovely little cafe which is situated right at the top of the cane hill locks, with fantastic views over the locks and the surrounding countryside, the cafe itself does a lovely cup of tea and a good selection of food. There is seating outside to the back and front.Inside there are two lots of toilets to use,it is a lovely homely little place with very pleasant staff, this is where you pay to park,a pound for all day that’s pretty good value, once you have had a refill your ready to take a walk around this lovely area with all the locks beautiful views and wildlife. Its one of the places that must be...

I took my daughter and dog to Devizes Wharf as it had been over 5 years since I last visited. I was shocked to find the cafe at the Trust was closed down. So we carried on with our walk down to the Caen locks, and my daughter insisted we stopped by. We ordered 2x cheese toasties and a Latte and apple juice, it was all lovely and reasonably priced, staff were nice and happy. We look forward to returning in a couple of months.

This is a lovely café in a fantastic location. Lots of options to choose from on the menu and all looked delicious. The staff were very friendly and the area was kept very clean. As it was a lovely morning on our visit it was a little busy, the queue went down quickly however so it wasn't a problem. This is a great place to stop if you are visiting the locks.
