Hit and miss if you get it on a good day it sounds like it’s great - my experiences have frustrated me as I’m certain it’s great.
I tend only to review when I have something positive to say but feel so miffed by my two experiences at Morso Malvern to date. I feel others should be prepared for similar experiences. The first time I went to Morso with my wife and three children about 3 months ago, I was assured before looking for a seat that all of the main breakfast items can be made into a child’s versions (smaller portions). We got seated and once we all knew what we wanted I went up to order, it turned out that a few of the items on the menu were not actually available due to significant ingredients missing, it happens but would have been helpful if mentioned when we took the menus.
Next I requested children’s versions of the meals that were available to be told they don’t do that so we would need to buy full size ones, this included pancakes and other items.
We chose to go elsewhere as the kids couldn’t decide what they would have of what was actually available vs advertised and I wasn’t prepared to pay full price for a bigger menu item only to watch my child eat a third of it before being full - oh well bad experience was probably just an off day.
Since then my wife and mother have been and had a great experience.
The food looks great and they are always busy so I am certain it must be good here.
Today my wife convinced me we should try it again as she and my mother have enjoyed it in the week. Wonderful, a few places we needed to be and a decent breakfast would set us up for the day. A great spot with lovely sounding food. We managed to get the last available table for two and ordered two breakfasts two coffees and a carrot juice.
The drinks were brought over to us swiftly just 20 minutes after we had ordered them :( and we enjoyed them as we continued to sit and wait for the breakfasts to be brought out.
All was well, the ambience was great, the food others were eating looked amazing. We had arrived at Morso with a good hour before we needed to go and felt this was sufficient to eat and leave - Sadly this wasn’t the case. As we approached an hour I asked where it was as we were needing to leave soon, “I’m very sorry you have been waiting so long, we are quite busy but your breakfast are being plated up now if you are in a rush shall we put them in a takeaway box”? As they were being plated up now we could wait and would have to eat super fast in order to leave on time. 10 minutes later we still didn’t have any food in front of us and now my wife was insistent we needed to be leaving to make it on time. I went to the bar to once again stand inline whilst I waited in line to inform them we were leaving and I’d like a refund two breakfast emerged from the kitchen heading to our table that had alsready been taken by two new customers arriving, well we had kept the seats warms for them for just over an hour, I appreciate the quick refund that was offered and the apologies and I’m certain the food is great based on popularity and other Morso that I have been to in Alvechurch just be warned if you want to have a good experience it is best to book and make sure you have lots and lots of time in case...

Read moreDespite ordering breakfast from the menu at 12:01 ( breakfast was stopped being served at 12pm) we could no longer order anything from the breakfast menu. Ok, I suppose they have to have some cut off point but by literally 1 minute?! . Anyway that wouldn’t have been so bad had it not been for the almost 40 minute wait for four dishes to arrive, two of them being served 10 minutes before the other 2 people in the group. Lunch was ok, but that was about it, standard really. Good coffee and hot chocolate on the plus side but not returning there...
