Café Mylor — Restaurant in England

Cafe Mylor hosted an evening event for us on 9th April 2022 to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and 61st birthdays. We had 45 guests including families with children. A special mention to Lucy who patiently arranged it all with me. Cafe Mylor catered for all our requirements including a children' s munu, vegetarians , gluten free and other specific dietary requirements. They did a wonderful curry buffet for us. The way they set everything out was just beautiful. The food was great and everyone enjoyed it. The Café Mylor team were friendly, helpful and attentive. It was also very reasonably priced. Delightful location, by the waters edge. Good friendly and professional service. Quality food with higher end local ingredients. Decor and comfort is fairly basic but it's absolutely fine for a short stay meal. They do smaller portions on some dishes, which is ideal for those with a smaller appetite. Dog and child friendly. Prices are on the high side, even allowing for the standards being good, ie full English is £9, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast is £9.50, bowl of porridge is £6. Expected more after reading reviews, can tell the ingredients are decent quality however execution is fairly poor. Breakfasts were mostly cold, beans stone cold especially. Flat mushrooms were not peeled so unpleasant, grilled tomato didnt see much grilling..microwaved scrambled eggs.
