Cafe is hidden behind the innovation center and is difficult to to find if you are not following their signage, the door is labeled but only as a subnote of the innovation center. Go in through the door with opening times on it at the back of the building - there is a carpark and outside tables here.
Cafe employees those with learning difficulties so some patience with the staff may be required but they are all very welcoming and polite.
The cake is excellent, I had a Victoria sponge and it was just what was needed for walking on the hills. Prices are also good as a cake and a drink cost less than a fiver.

Read moreWe have long been fans of Cafe H2O but today's visit left us a little disappointed. Their lunch menu used to include jacket potatoes, toasted sandwiches and more but it's been very reduced to that shown in our picture. Service was excellent as usual but the whole place could do with some maintenance. We have watched the six screens of the huge video wall die one by one and now they are all off. The tablets which used to let one explore the walks, geology and flora of the district have also gone. It's a great endeavour supporting people with learning and other difficulties but now needs some time, money...
Read moreDecided to pop in for a cuppa after a walk on the hills, so glad we did! We had a very generous pot of tea and some delicious cake, a lovely pit stop. The cafe is dog friendly too which is ideal. The prices were very fair across the whole menu and the staff were happy and friendly. The only thing I'd say is needed is better signage to find the entrance, some large arrows directing people round the back of the building would be useful, but if you're in the area it's well worth a stop at this...
