AMAZING FIND! We had a lovely weekend staying at the Wyche Inn. After arriving on Friday, we tucked into some delicious fish and chips and The Wyche burger. Both were absolutely fantastic! We stayed in one of the flats, which had everything we needed for a bit of self-catering. Pam showed us to our room, and there was a thoughtful touch waiting for us in the fridge: bread, butter, milk, and orange juice. The bed and linen was really comfortable and had a fabulous two nights sleep It's a very dog-friendly place, and our cocker spaniel, Lola, made great friends with the pub's resident puppy, St. Bernard Angus. The location is perfect for walkers and cyclists, with easy access to the beacon route. After our walk up the beacon on Sunday, we came back to sample Dave's Sunday lunch, which was belly-bustingly delicious. Pam and Dave, along with the rest of the staff, are awesome hosts. We've already booked to come back in October and highly recommend the Wyche Inn.

I did a 10 mile trek across the Malverns with my two Dalmatians. It turned into quite a hot day and by midday we needed to get off the hills and get some shade. I've been to the Wyche Inn a few times and always enjoyed being there so usually park close by. I ended up ordering a cheese and onion ciabatta with fries and salad, a pint of ale and a glass of water. I sat in the garden and chatted to some of the other customers there - it's a very friendly place. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was superb, and the ale was very nice too. Price-wise it cost me £12 which is more than reasonable for decent food and drink in a great location. I am planning to take the dogs out up there regularly, and return to the inn to order the same food and drink again!

Loved it! We had checked before if it was dog friendly and it certainly is. Having been walking in the Malverns, The Wyche Inn is situated in a very convenient place, between hills. We sat outside in the sunshine (with other dog owners) enjoying a nice cool drink and ordered some food. They provide nice fresh water bowls for the dogs too. We really enjoyed the filled ciabatta with sausage and onions/ fish fingers, with chips and salad.

As many of the lowest reviews on Google for this pub indicate, the staff have a vengeance against people requesting tap water and not purchasing a drink.

I visited the pub today while walking Malvern Hills with my friends, we used the restroom and were looking to order drinks. Three of my friends decided they wanted tap water while me and my friend wanted lemon and lime. The bar staff refused to serve us because not everyone was buying drinks and proceeded to talk about the struggling costs and bills for the pub, so we decided to vacate.

While walking away from the bar I told my friends that licensed venues must serve free tap water to which another member of the bar staff told me to shut my mouth. I found this to be very rude, unprofessional and left a bitter taste in my mouth.

From a business standpoint, I found this situation to be completely absurd. There were plenty of empty tables in the pub which do not generate revenue. Turning away a group of people, some of whom want to purchase drinks and some who want tap water seems counterinitiative as there is some revenue to be generated as opposed to none at all on empty tables.

Paragraph 2 of the Licensing Act 2003 (Mandatory Licensing Conditions) (Amendment) Order 2014 – “The responsible person must ensure that free potable water is provided on request to customers where it is...

Decided at the last minute to go some where, and we booked a room at 5pm 19/10/15 arrived at about 8.40 that night,as soon as we walked in we knew we did the right thing by booking this place even tho the restaurant was closed they still provided us with a meal,it was a absolute pleasure to stay at The Wyche,The Wyche is situated half way up the Malvern Hills which made it easier for us to reach the top without using a car,the summit was in good walking distance and the views were breath taking for us as was the walking up to the summit. If you are looking for some where to stay in the Malvern Hills then this is it,the owners are very nice and eager to help and advise on your days out,the food is of good quality, quantity and a good price,we stayed 2 nights breakfast was included,we decide to eat at the Wyche in the evening aswell for under £200 very good value for money,If Aldi run a Hotel they couldn't do it as well as The Wyche did,the rooms were very clean and were replenished during our stay.we would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it for anyone including families who like this sort of adventure,I was told that they have flats and a cottage to let for families and those that don't always want to stay in a hotel and like a bit more independence. Thank you to the owners of The Wyche for a great break. Highly...

As soon as we entered it felt as though we were being stared at, as though we had intruded. Some of us had used the toilets coming back from our walk and we were waiting for the kitchen to open in the next 6 minutes so we could order some food. Our youngest opened a packet a crisp, which fair enough isn't allowed as they serve food. However a staff member later sniped at us that she was wound up over the crisps, and that we all EACH had to order something (a group of 7) or that we had to leave, because it is not a place of 'refuge'. Now, we had planned to order a few portions of chips when the restaurant opened and share them with some soft drinks, but we were basically told to leave at that point because we were sitting and waiting. It felt very unwelcoming and a bit unnerving as we are some international students visiting the lovely place of Malvern, and it felt as though we were being spoken down to. I can understand only wanting paying customers but it isn't right to intimidate potential customers, and really no pub, bar, restaurant usually has such a policy where every single person needs to buy a different item. To us, it felt like they just wanted us out of there. Maybe I could understand if we were being rowdy but we are simply POC medical students going hiking...
