The food and atmosphere is amazing here. It has been our go to hidden pleasure in Northumberland. Any journey to Scotland results in a stop here planned for breakfast, brunch or lunch. There is no single recommendation with a fluid fresh menu that simply evolves with the seasonal food produce. Every local seems to be here and it is simply stand out great healthy food. We normally get a protein and two salads or a club sandwich. We finish with what ever excellent bake takes our fancy and normally get desert to take onward for our hosts in Scotland. It is always busy and efficient, service is always impeccable and the whisky Noble Isle hand wash and moisturiser in the toilets shows an attention to detail for luxury and quality. Once you visit you will plan your day trips and journeys around it. If you are local and haven't been then what a waste. Kind of embarrassing or your neighbours don't like you. To be fair we have kept this our secret for years. It is simply fantastic. I vote these salads over some of the North East Michelin star restaurants. This place must increase the house value in...
Read moreAfter been here many times and recommended it to many I was looking forward to our first outing to a cafe after lock down. Opting for the delicious veggie breakfast, we were unfortunately let down by being forgotten. I explained that it wasn't the wait it was the fact that other bigger parties had been served breakfasts before us. I asked for a refund and was offered a takeaway box, which I refused as the whole point had been to go out for breakfast. We eventually got the refund after the waitress spoke to the owner/manager, who didn't even bother to speak to us, walked straight passed. Luckily the waitress was very apologetic and polite....
Read moreOnly giving 1 star because my Nana recieved good service on the counter. First, I think the food is far too expensive here and you are paying for poor quality food. The break used in the breakfast sandwiches is very dry. Honestly I would opt for Greggs over this very price place. The toilets here are also very dark and dull. Couldn't loch the door for the disabled toilet and in the man's toilets, the flush handle was nowhere to be seen. Not at all acceptable for people who are visually impaired like myself. I also think the menu isn't clear at all and I think there are a few things missing off it. Hash Browns, everywhere sells Hash Browns as an individual menu item so this place has a lot of improvements to make. I will never ever come back here again, very...
