Loved it ! Very friendly :-) I came here as a place to stay, not for the pub, found on Trivago, the room was perfect for a nights retreat to rest well, slept like a baby, very nice double bedroom, lovely bed linen & quality, warm coloured covers & cushions, TV (just positioned in the wrong place that's all!) En suite shower, very satisfied with, perfectly clean, parking nearby from front Street (payable within restricted hours but I was there on a Sunday & apparently only checked by warden on Wednesdays but wouldn't bank on it, in case changes!) Big enough Free car park out back accessible via back gate &/ alley. Breakfast was incredible !!! Very large plate of 2 of nearly everything, 2 eggs, 2 sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, 2 toast, choice of cereals & fruits juices, milk, first + a pot of tea or coffee ! Staff very happy, friendly & very accomodating ! Let me check out late at no extra charge because they didn't have anyone checking in after me & had a nice chat with the owner, chef & lady who works there who seems to perform a multitude of tasks & functions, such a cheerful lady ! Nice old pub, quite large with beams, the evening clientele seemed nice & local & there were a few down for breakfast, all very nice & for the lowest price I could find ! Very reasonable indeed for what you get ! Can't remember if I paid paid £47/57, think it was £47:50 or something through agent Expedia or ? But rooms direct are about £60 I think which is still not bad. No complaints, recommend & would love to return, nice village of Bentham in North West Yorkshire very close across the border...

Whilst visiting family in North Yorkshire, we decided to stay at the Coach House Inn which is situated in the picturesque large village of High Bentham. On arrival we were met by the owner of the establishment, Karl who is friendly and helpful. He showed us to our rooms which are lovely with tea and coffee making facilities a 32 inch flat screen TV and all the usual refinements found at larger more expensive hotels. The shower in the en-suite deserves a mention as it is probably powerful enough to put out a forest fire. Although the room is above the bar we never heard any customers or the usual bar noise whilst sleeping...... Now to the bar and restaurant. We ordered the garlic mushrooms which were piping hot and just the right amount of garlic on them as starters and for the main course I had the Rump steak and my wife had the macaroni cheese which were both tasty, perfectly cooked and presented well. The food was delivered to the table by Sarah who although is only16 years old was very mature and friendly and a credit to the manager. The locals are friendly as is normal in this part of the world and the rest of the staff are also worth a mention as they are all friendly, helpful and genuine without being too "in your face" Overall a lovely experience which I will definitely repeat when I am next...

We stayed one night with friends, staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay. There was a good choice menu, and the food was well prepared and plentiful. We all chose different things battered fish, meat pie, halumi and roast pepper burger all served with chips. My husband chose the chicken curry which he said was tasty, but it could have had a little more chicken in it. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean with everything you needed. Everyone in our party had a great nights sleep as the beds were super comfortable, all linen and towels were good quality too, with complimentary toiletries. Breatfast was of the continental variety, cereal, toast croissants, preserves, yoghurt, juice tea or coffee. Good for us as we needed to get back home. There was a very small amount of noise to be heard from the bar once we had retired but not enough to stop us sleeping and after all you are staying in rooms above a pub. We had a great stay, and would recommend it to anyone and would...

Review is for the pub only, didn't stay. A quality pub, friendly staff, very attentive, good selection of beers with pumps from the brewery owners own rage, I particularly enjoyed the draught Unicorn. The food is fantastic, all the pub favourites burgers, steaks, fish n chips but best over all is the pies, huge portions and really top quality. It isn't super cheap of course but you don't get quality like this cheap. They're pet friendly, with blankets provided so your pooch can sit on the sofa. Our fur babies felt right at home. Monday night is slim pickings I'm this part of the world with many venues only open Wednesday to Saturday but this place really stood out.

Absolutely fantastic establishment.. Public House is stunning but its even better with the welcoming and the custom you receive while in it. I can not fault The Coach House, I highly recommend every one to pay a visit and your welcome to play with the menu, I have recently been diagnosed with all sorts of intolerances and I can bearly eat anything now but that isn't a problem here. The only place I've found so far that will practically bend over backwards to make sure you don't feel so odd! Husband and wife fantastic couple and fantastic publicans. Thank you, I will definitely visit again and stay as this is a bed and breakfast and not just a pub.

I recently visited the Coachhouse for a meal and had the roast, which was absolutely delightful—flavoursome and well-cooked. Unfortunately, the chilli my partner ordered was a bit of a letdown, as it lacked any sauce and tasted quite dry, which was disappointing. The atmosphere in the bar was a bit hit-or-miss. While we enjoyed the live music (a good rocky set for the evening), the overall vibe felt somewhat cliquey, and it seemed like the staff weren’t as welcoming to people who weren’t locals or regulars in the area. Overall, the food had its ups and downs, and the service could be a bit more open and friendly to newcomers.
