I had the pleasure of stopping at Alston Cobbles CafĂ© during a motorcycle tour, and it was the perfect place to relax and refuel. I ordered an egg and bacon roll, and it was nothing short of sumptuous – perfectly cooked and full of flavor, just what I needed to keep me going. Alongside a hot cup of tea, it made for a delicious and satisfying lunch. What made the experience even better was the service. A delightful young lady brought my food and tea right to my outside table with a bright, welcoming smile. It was a beautiful sunny day, and sitting outside in such a charming setting made the meal even more enjoyable. Alston Cobbles CafĂ© is a gem of a place, offering not only great food but also warm and friendly service. If you’re ever in the area, this spot is a must-visit for a relaxing and delightful dining experience!

What a lovely quaint cafe. The staff were friendly and happy. The food was amazing. We had the special of Quiche, chips and salad which was outstanding, only negative was that I only got 4 chips. These were big but could've done with a couple more. We also had a slice of rhubarb and ginger cake and a cheese scone with butter, again delicious. I would highly recommend this to people visiting the area.

Great service, lots of options of cake and very good size portions. Little people gave it a big thumbs up. Would definitely recommend and they also do takeaway .

I called in for a breakfast as they open at 9am. I gave them a 5 star for atmosphere because I do think it was nice but it was only just after 9am and I was the only one in so unfair to mark it down. I just had a small breakfast which was excellent and a round of toast and marmalade equally as good, and a nice big cup/mug of fresh coffee also excellent. The service was friendly and fast. I did have one slight niggle, which might sound unfair on a July morning, but it was cold and overcast outside and I was chilly sat at the table but there was no heating on, which made it slightly unpleasant. Maybe a small plug in heater may have made it the cosy place I think it usually is. Even so I would still recommend it and go...

My husband & I popped in here with our dog on Sunday, the weather was pretty grim and we were happy to find such a lovely cosy, welcoming cafe. Both the members of staff were friendly & helpful and openly welcomed Dexter our dog!! 😊 Hubby ordered the full english breakfast, he tries it nearly everywhere, and I ordered pea & lentil soup with a warm cheese scone, we also had a mug of coffee each. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and piping hot, and the decent sized mug of coffee was spot on too. Would thoroughly recommend this gem of a cafe to anyone passing through Alston, we will definitely be going back - hope to try some delicious homemade cake...
