Costa Coffee Drive Thru — Restaurant in England

Painfully slow at the drive thru as it took 35 mins from joining the queue (of about 10 vehicles) to receiving my order which is unacceptable. The point of a drive thru is speed and convenience - this was neither.

There doesn’t seem to be any common sense in how to deal with a queue, ie, start making the order as soon as it’s ordered so by the time people get to the collection point they can pay and go in 30 seconds. But no, when you get to the collection point there’s still a 3 minute or so wait for your order.

Either they’re really short staffed or just clueless. I hope this place improves as having a Costa drive thru is quite nice, but not when you have to wait 35 mins, which is about 7 times the amount of time that you should...

We've been when it's brilliant but today was a bit disappointing. The few staff who were on were hopelessly overworked but remained pleasant & polite under tremendous pressure this morning. Many people were waiting both before & after ordering. Drinks were very slow to be made.... no sugar or napkins out available for people. No tables being cleared (due only to lack if staff) so the place looked untidy with food & mess all over the tables & floor. So, not the staff on the floor's fault but the management!! Shame as the staff really were keeping their politeness & care while under loads of complaints & pressure! We probably won't be back for a while based on this...

We always sit in just as they open, and visit once or twice a month. Its always clean and staff helpful and mostly smiley. Food/drinks always good, pleasant environment and no specific delays with orders so i'd say all good as far as Im concerned. Drive through is often v busy and puts pressure on the staff but always handled well from what Ive seen. Drinks served nice n hot, much better coffee flavour than other chains locally, so Im sticking with them 😊. Final plus, even though oat milk notoriously difficult to froth they always do a great job of it. Thank you lovely...
