Was relieved to see opening day was a steady trickle of customers, meaning no ques either inside our out for our visit at 3pm.
The staff were all polite and engaging.
Cost- more expensive than McDonald's. We felt too expensive.
Drinks - We tried the strawberry lemonade which isn't a fizzy drink. Its was lovely. Son had the Timmy maple drink. He equally enjoyed this. 5/5 and each a ÂŁ1 if purchased as a meal deal. Theres not enough info about meal deal pricing.
Classic burger meal. ÂŁ7.49 for a cheeseburger and lattice fries. Way too expensive. The burger had a very hammy taste. I absolutely hated it. My mother who is a fan of the 70s spam meat, enjoyed it. Take from that what you will. She would give it 3/5 id have given it away. 0/5. My son also didn't like it and said 0/5. This burger tastes nothing like macdonalds, and for us we prefer the McDonald's burger.
Standard hotdog. Too dry. More bread than meat, not enough sauce. Vue cinema hotdogs are far more superior and get the bread to meat ratio with sauces just right. Again as a meal with lattice fries and the strawberry lemonade, this was ÂŁ8.49. Simply too expensive especially since it wasn't great. 2/5
Lattice fries. These taste and are exactly the same as the bag of frozen lattice fries you get at tesco for ÂŁ1. Basic, nothing special and can be replicated at home. 2/5
Oreo maple pancakes. Again too dry, and I mean dry. My son wouldn't get these again, nor would my mother who will eat most things. 1/5
Rocky Road doughnut. 1/5 and a whopping ÂŁ3.45 for 1!!!!! It had a taste of alcohol liquer to it. It was horrid and was binned part eaten after a few of us tried it. The price is pure robbery.
Most hot items are wrapped in foil. Service was quick and friendly, but as said the drive through was not busy, we were the only car.
This hasn't tempted us back for breakfast. We all agree for hot and cold drinks, we'd pop through the drive through only every now and again. Sorry Tim Hortons, you arent for this family sadly.
Its a shame as we've waited for the opening and was so looking forward to it, but it failed to deliver.
Against my better judgement we returned today, 12.10.22. I ordered a spicey hotdog meal and chicken burger meal for my son. When we arrived home, i noted they had given us two chicken burger meals. Obviously getting my order wrong was a bad start especially as I do not like chicken burgers thst much. They Charged a whopping ÂŁ17.98 for 2 burgers, 2 small fries ( whats with the half portions?) and 2 small drinks. The pricing is outrageous, but to get the wrong order was really annoying. Please see the attached pictures for what ÂŁ17.98 looks like.
What was right...nothing sadly. My son found the spicey chicken burger a little bland. He left it after one bite. I slightly disagree with this. It was juicy, clearly a better quality chicken fillet, had a nice crunch to it. The flavour and texture is exactly the same as a burger King chicken royal, but the chicken in Tim's burger is thicker. Still since this is not what I ordered, it wasn't a delight to eat. But whose going to drive all the way back!
The lattice fry portion size is shocking. Its as if a 3rd is missing. Again please see the pictures. This isn't good value for money, and there's certainly nothing special about them. I simply feel robbed.
The drinks were both small, goodness knows that the cost would have been if I said large. The spiced pumpkin frappe didn't even have a hint of spice flavouring to it. It was a very weak version of a Costa iced frappe.
My sons tims maple shake was more cream than liquid, therefore you get a 2/3rd portion. He liked it though, but the cream was left.
Before this latest visit I was so over Tim Hortons but thought I'd enjoy a drink once in a while. This latest visit has made certain that I will not be returning for anything.
For this price I could have got a takeaway at home for a family of 4. It just isn't...

Went for a second time today to see if the breakfast was any better than the cold hotdog that I got last time. It wasnât, so itâs gone from 3 to 1 stars now. My advice, donât bother, go to McDonaldâs. I did wonder why there was a queue at McDonaldâs and cars parked but Tim Hortons had no queue or customers. Now I know.
I was hungry so got a wrap and a sausage muffin. Both were mediocre, lukewarm and certainly not cooked fresh.
The sausage tasted like old meat, the muffin itself was past its best and the hash browns were soggy and lukewarm. The wrap wasnât much better, lukewarm, weird tasting sausage and just generally bland.
Just awful. Will not be going there again. Hopefully it closes down and becomes something useful, like a KFC.

First time here today since it opened and I canât really recommend it based on the food. I might try it again at some point and see if it was just a one off poor experience.
The general ambiance is quite nice though and the place is clean.
So the issues with the food:
Soggy greasy lattice fries.
âCurrywurstâ hot dog was luke warm, the cheese wasnât melted, the bread roll seemed like it had just come out of the fridge and didnât really resemble any currywurst that Iâve had. Obviously not cooked from fresh otherwise it would have been hot.
Coffee was pretty good - but why the 50p extra charge for a black americano as opposed to no extra charge for a flat white?
On the plus side, the garlic mayo dip...

This is my second review for Timmyâs at Selby. Itâs still five stars. Breakfast is unbeatable. So very tasty. Beats its rival over the road in every way. The choice of drinks is fabulous. Iâve tried many and they are all excellent. The donuts are the best anywhere.
Eagerly awaited the opening after seeing it develop from Frankie and Benny. Waited a couple of days to let the queues go down. Iron out any teething problems. Came in Tuesday evening. My husband and I. Very nice. Smokey maple burger. My husband lived it. I am not keen on Smokey so wouldnât have chosen that but did look lovely and moist. I had the Bacon double burger. Lovely. Fat and juicy burger. Lattice fries nice change to Macdonalds fries. We both had latte which we consider to be slightly superior to Macdonalds but over ÂŁ3 more expensive for the two latte if bought separately. Had three freebie Timbits. Wouldnât be my favourite but plenty of choice at the counter if you do like doughy type food. Again I prefer the Macflurry. Nice and airway inside, very pleasant seating. Will definitely come again. All staff lovely and obviously hand picked for courtesy and friendliness. I...
