Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Rude and ignorant barrista. Having placed my order I struggled to get the app scanned and was unsure if it actually worked. I then tried paying with contactless payment which wasn't accepted so reverted to using my pin. I got confirmation that the payment was processed. The barrista then said I hadn't paid which I explained what had happened and that the machine said the payment was approved. She flashed a receipt infront if me saying 'well it hasn't gone through so you need to do it again'. As it was getting busier I chose to accept her word and paid AGAIN. I left the services with my 2 large lattes and once back on the road confirmation from my bank that I had indeed paid twice. £18.60 for 2 luke warm coffees was the result of my visit. Since then I have emailed Costa and also tried ringing them today to get a message that they are sorry but their phones are down. Coincidence or is this their demise? If the person I dealt with is reflective of the staff at head office then I am guessing nothing will come of this.......but just be aware...

Now this is going to be the worst experience ever at Costa be far too much. The lady who served me at 1 am seem to be working everywhere. Firstly had to wait like ten minutes to be served as she was busy donig paper work. Once i got severed there were some guys who had a drink and she had to start on them to keep quite and she left my order half way to go and sort some kind of alarm in the gaming shop, really,? Then when she came and started my order so she had to start again on them and for me to wait another 5-8 minutes to be served with coffee as she was busy screaming at them. Staff overfilled my small latte so much that when I got back to my car to drink it I took the lid off to stir it and the extremely hot coffee spilled over and scalded my hand and leg. I had to jump out of the car door to get the coffee off my leg. Not a great thing to happen in the middle of a journey and I’m glad it wasn’t my child’s hot chocolate drink as it would’ve ended up a hospital visit! The coffee was poor quality when I was brave enough to drink it 10 minutes later.
