Had the delight of being served by Jack in the drive thru last week. Only for him to end up throwing the boiling hot drink over me (accidents happen I suppose?)
What was his choice was the pompous attitude he displayed following this - to blame me before even checking if I was actually ok, and then to shrug his shoulders as if nothing had happened and saying well accidents happen but you dropped it… before starting a heated discussing about this. Perhaps a napkin might have been more useful at this point.
I suppose customer consideration doesn’t feature in this member of staffs approach to customers as clearly the world owes him something.
When asked if I could speak to this member of staffs manager the response was I don’t have to give you that information - um, I’m pretty sure I’m the customer, not you?
In fairness to Emma she was lovely afterwards however this was probably down to feeling she had no other choice but to try and pacify the situation which needn’t have reached the situation or did.

However, the car park is one of those parking eye cameras (no humans involved). A couple of minutes over the 2 hours whilst meeting up with family discussing a bereavement, and got a fine for £100. Although notices in place (I'm sure they comply with UK regs), but not overly clear when you enter the car park. I'm assuming the lack of clarity is a sure winner for dishing out these fines at £100 a pop. Definitely no warnings inside the coffee shop and a chorus of 'Nothing to do with us mate!' when I spoke to them, hoping an apology would suffice, and the fine cancelled on some type of screen, but as ever, "The computer says No!..." which is why I'm posting this review. Read moreI give 3 stars as the staff were a pleasure to deal with, and the store was quiet and clean.
However, I was really disappointed this visit. It was my first time in a coffee shop since March, and I was looking forward to a lovely Christmas coffee with a piece of cake.
The panini and cake were lovely, but the coffee was a real let down.
I ordered a large skinny Gingerbread Latte, and the only thing good about it was that it was hot!
I wasnt asked if I wanted cream, and there were no trimmings such as a little gingerbread figure. Too much syrup was added, so it was sickly sweet, and I have no idea what blend of coffee was used but it blew my head off! I avoid columbian blends as I find they are too strong for me, and I have a nagging suspicion this is what was used - normally this is an optional blend but I wasnt given the option to choose the blend.
