Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Although there is nothing wrong with the premises or staff, they can't make a cup of coffee !!!!! I ordered an Americano, when they presented it to me I asked where the crema was, obviously something wrong with their very expensive coffee machines, on the third attempt it was no better, when I asked why, to the member of staff with Barista emblazoned on her back, she didn't know what 'Crema was. Shocking for a coffee bar ! The food, £3.60 for a bacon roll, maybe pigs are on the endangered list and no one told me ! Where was the bacon Costa ? It was even served like warm. On the whole a dreadful experience which has left me feeling I've been ripped off. Just as I was about to post this a member of staff approached me with a refund for the coffee, thanking me for pointing out the problem to them, telling me they've just put a call in for an engineer, although she was extremely professional and polite I believe I was spotted writing this review, you been open for over 3 hours Costa, and I took an untrained person like myself to spot the issue ! A busy place this morning when I had my spiced cappuccino and mince pie. The lovely Andrea served me and she always has a welcoming smile. The staff are very friendly whatever time you go in though. An excellent place for a coffee before or after your shopping in Tesco. It's just been refurbished and looks bigger than it was before. The large tables have been removed in favour of more regular sized ones. The lighting looks minimalist and industrial looking. Costa cups hang precariously from the mobile above some of the tables which is a complete surprise. The walls are adorned with new artwork giving it a fresh new look. Usually stop for a cuppa after shopping. Really disappointed today to find three people on duty and all the tables dirty!! I've posted pics confirming the state of this place. I had to go to the counter to ask for a cloth to wipe my table after I removed the used cups. Poor girl behind the counter was working her butt off with the two guys doing not a lot!!
