Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

So, we stopped with my husband and my son to have quick coffee because we were travelling for long time, the coffee was fine, the staff however was very neutral if not rude I didn't even listen a thank you and a good bye from the 3 members of staff and they were just chatting and laughing..I am not against to chatting while at work because was not busy but I am against to rude staff, the one girl gave me the cups without any single word from her mouth and she turned her back to me talking with her colleagues like I never went..the price also was far too high from other costa shops as I paid £7.30 for a macchiato and a small cappuccino with caramel syrup.. Been in here for almost 2 hours and although the staff have intermittently cleared the tables not once has anyone wiped them down. My table has still got food on them from the prevoous person from when I arrived. There is bits of food on the floor and drinks spilled on at least 2/3rds of all tables. . The place is not busy. The staff are chatting to each other. Can't believe how dirty the place...

Really bizarre experience. Asked for no lid on the Flat White and the barista made up a weird story that a previous customer had asked for no lid, spilt his coffee on himself, successfully sued for £10k and he got in trouble. Your coffee is not hot enough for someone to burn themselves anyway. Costa - source non plastic lids or give customers the choice. #nolid campaign....
