We spotted this place in the middle of a 4 hour drive and popped in searching for sustenance. We were quickly seated and food took no time at all to arrive. It was reasonably priced - we had starters and a main - and absolutely stunning. My husband had the beef Sunday Roast, whilst I had Crab Mac n' Cheese with salad and garlic bread. We were in fact so full that neither of us needed dinner later that evening despite eating at 1pm! The waitress who served us (we missed her name unfortunately, but she was very young) was very happy to help with anything and was a joy to talk to. They also had the sweetest sheep dog on site who was happy to play fetch and was just generally adorable. It was clear as we were leaving that the site is dog friendly for all as other guests were showing up with their furred friends. Excellent experience in general and we've noted it on our GMaps as a place to stop in future excursions!

We went for rides in the car at the weekend and ended up here & thought we'd try Sunday lunch. It was a great decision. Lots of veg options served, the best roast potatoes I've ever had, and the beef was tasty and plentiful. we will definitely be going back 🥰

Stopped off on the way to Aberystwyth. Lovely service and fresh food. The fish goujon sandwich was huge! Worth the price and definitely filled me. Generous portion. Will be the new place to pop in now on our long journeys!

We stopped by this place for some food and seeing the nice exterior made us think it was worth a drop in without having first looked for reviews/ recommendations.

The service was prompt, friendly and very pleasant. The atmosphere was mixed between a cosy countryside pub which was to its credit, pet friendly, whilst the other half had a feel of local boozer with pool table and fruit machine.

The gents toilets were however not pleasant with one leaky urinal having an open bucket placed underneath it. I'm told the ladies toilets actually looked to have had effort put in with some free Toiletries that were a welcome surprise.

What made this place somewhere I wouldn't recommend was the food.

No one at our 5 person table finished the food. The burgers were really bad, so were the (what looked like turkey) sausages. One of our group took a single bite of the burger and left the rest. I cant emphasise this enough but the moment the burgers were brought to our table it was obvious that it was not going to be a good experience with the buns each looking like they had been stomped on. Not wanting to keep on this point but each of the burgers looked and tasted like bad school canteen...

Poor *

Really not one to complain but came out of her really deflated. One meal out of six finished and that’s only because I was starving and 22 weeks pregnant. Stick to “ The Hungry Horse “. Atmosphere shocking, we been travelling 6 hours after picking our boy up from army and really looked nice from outside. We are so down to earth and friendly and just felt so frowned down upon. They really didn’t care about how you were served or spoken to. No chips available just fried, which is not the end of the world if they were fresh. If only we knew mc Donald’s were down the road, we would have gone there. As a buisness owner you go out of your way to please customers but I don’t think they know how to even be friendly. Steak was nice but mushroom and tomato were from breakfast by looks of. Poor, poor. Very disappointed. It’s nice to be nice and accommodating and this is something that was...
